Living through a year in Iceland is always a challenge, but before globalization, central heating and wealth became a reality, it could be a fight for survival. Four poems reflecting the life in between summers inspired Jón Kleinehanding to compose a cycle to live through these old pains and blisses.

Track1. 21: The track shows the direction of the album. It consists of minimal melodies and odd meter rhythms, with each mirror motif sounding the same when played backwards.

Track2. 22: This track uses a lot of metric modulation and the melody lengthens from 1/16th note to 2 to 3, so you can feel the change in rhythm and the lingering sound.

Track3. 23: The fastest track on the album. Inspired by the Swedish band "Freak Kitchen".

Track4. 24: This track was inspired by the periodic cicadas. Each instrument sounds on the 13&17/16th note instead of the 13&17-year cicadas.

Bonus Track. 25: This track has only 2 simple drum patterns, but creates variations by mixing them. Inspired by the Armenian pianist "Tigran Hamasyan".
