The research station at Orford Ness, responsible for developing radar technology, was disbanded in 1973. 

The Orford Field Office (de Velden & mlilley) resurfaced on 6 May 2022, transmitting on previously unknown frequencies. 

Little is known about the unit that took some of the more esoteric equipment and set off to carry on the more obscure work in the field of psycho-acoustic research and exploration. It is only recently that the Orford Field Office resurfaced, transmitting on previously unknown frequencies.
