Fun Sponge Records are a label based from Sheffield, Uk dedicated to bringing new music and upcoming artists into the music scene of a variety of genres. Founded in 2022 by music producer Sekt-87 with the launch of the label in October of that year. 

With over 10 years of experience within his local music scene Sekt-87 hopes to bring you some amazing music from new and established artists after learning some great things from those who he has been alongside over the years within his local scene. With an ongoing steadily building catalogue of music, here at Fun Sponge we hope to gain a nice foot hold within the underground music scene as progress over the coming years.

Niacin lives in oxford uk and has long had a passion for edm,more so especially for old school jungle from the very early 90s . In 1987 i fell in love with "acid house" and a seed was sown. My musical influences are huge,taken from everywhere,from dub reggae to 70s and early 80s electro,early 90s jungle and the sounds from Legend records(Gwange,Spinback,The Invisible Man,Dj Lee)LTJ Bukem(glr)Reinforced,Suburban Base,Tom and Jerry,Potential Badboy,Slammin Vinyl,Mike Slammer & Red Alert,Moving Shadow,Fabio,Grooverider,Ellis Dee,Peshay,Ratty,Hype,Total Science & CIA recordings,Micky Finn,Randall,Daddy Almshouse,Strictly Underground,Qbass,Manix,Skeleton Crew and the superb Bay B Kane, Bizzy B and Tango(RIP)(3 of the very best)not to mention the inspirational "white labels" of 1990,91,92,93
