Queerfeindlichkeit, sexistische Ausbeutung und Unterdrückung, sowie sexistische/ queerfeindliche Gewalt und Ausgrenzung: Das sind einige der Fluchtursachen, von denen Frauen* und Queers obendrein noch betroffen sind. In unseren heteronormativen und patriarchalen Gesellschaftsstrukturen und politischen Systemen, sind diese gender- und sexualitätsbezogenen Fluchtursachen nicht selten. In der ersten Folge der Reihe “Frauen* und Queers on the Move” des Blindspots-Podcasts, sprechen wir über diese Fluchtursachen. Frauen* und Queers on the Move #1: Fluchtursachen

Die EU schottet sich ab und das europäische Grenzregime versperrt in kolonialer Tradition und auf rassistische Weise legale Einreisemöglichkeiten. Die Abschottung bedeutet Gewalt und Tod viele Menschen auf der Flucht. Für Frauen* und Queers kommen weitere gewaltvolle Mechanismen und Strukturen auf der Flucht hinzu, die eine Flucht für sie noch weiter erschwerden. Zum Beispiel eine Schwangerschaft oder Regelblutungen. Schon in einem gefestigten, ortsansässigen Alltag sind das für menstruierende Personen (in unterschiedlicher Ausprägung und Stärke) herausfordernde und unangenehme Prozesse. Auf der Flucht kommen widrige hygienische Bedingungen und eine mangelnde Privatsphäre zu den körperlichen Strapazen hinzu. Und dann ist da noch die Sorgearbeit. Auch auf der Flucht wird diese hauptsächlich von als Frauen* und Mädchen sozialisierten Personen geleistet. Safer Spaces, Privatsphäre und Austauschmöglichkeiten für queere Menschen gibt es auf der Flucht kaum. Queers werden oft unsichtbar gemacht. Wie Menschen mit diesen widrigen Umständen umgehen und welche Supportstrukturen es gibt, hört ihr in dieser Folge des Blindspots-Podcasts.

Born in Inglewood, CA, Edgar has been writing lyrics to industry standard beats since age 5 but was too shy to show anyone besides his young brother. At 13 he seemed to regain the love for music and wanted to showcase what he felt was talent; a God given blessing. Late 2017, a young and inspired Edgar, (formerly known as Super$aiyan E) would begin recording on his phone using iMovie, and would release awfully mixed songs on soundcloud, some of which you can still find today. Soon after, long time friends and collaborators began to work with Edgar to help him out. These creatives were the likes of Will Sykes (Mode), Zeek (EternalBushido), and Taj, who is a well known producer in Detroit and Los Angeles respectively. Edgar began releasing better quality music over the course of his high school tenure. In 2021 he decided to start anew by changing his stage name to what is now presented as ‘Eddie Franco’. Since then, he has made strides in both quality and quantity, releasing 11 mixtapes/projects thereafter the new leaf had been turned. Now on the verge of breaking into the industry, follow Edgar’s journey as an upcoming artist with loads of potential and versatility to spread amongst all genres of contemporary and past generations of music.

Well known for his Trippy singles; for example his single Drippin' reached over 2 million streams on Soundcloud & YouTube combined. Adding in his single "Cappin' Alert" which featured in Source Mag, HotNewHipHop, Respect Mag + More. Cue has hundreds of thousands of followers.

Why Cue debuted national radio play in 2017, with Roswell Gray with their single "I Get Around" getting spun on Hot 97. This single was reposted by rapper Xxxtentacion before it went viral. Cue currently is managing himself and is independent.
