This is part of an experiment of the Difficult Times Radio/Intentional Multiple Personality Disorder sodality, specifically the vocal part. The experiment is called "One Note Wonders". This piece starts with the one note sung vocally. The original recording was 4-seconds long. Think of The Cenobites in Hellraiser. Imagine them taking this single note vocalization and stretching it, twisting it, torturing it in various ways to the point that it was in ecstatic pain/pleasure/horror/wonder/ecstasy. That is how this track was created. As the experiment progresses it will change and be less horrific, but the sodality decided to share this part here, because it works as eerie sounds. And remember this started from a single note sung by one voice for 4 seconds.

Long distance rummaging rapper type of fella, who needed beats so decided to try and make his own from the nefarious world of bargain vinylment. Lost track of time and realised he'd forgotten to write the words he was creating to support. Now on a mission without the time he can never find, he jigsaws verse and beats at glacial speed for fun often miss-laying the final piece- but happy in the knowledge there's fullfilment in the incomplete.

For the moment I can again play tracks. If this lasts, I will continue with Soundcloud, but will also check out various alternatives.
I will be posting tracks of experiments I have done distorting vocal tracks and improvisations on various instruments in order to create eerie dark ambient sounds suitable perhaps for use in independent supernatural horror movies, radio shows or podcasts. The New Mastersounds are an astonishingly persistent funk/soul-jazz quartet who were founded in Leeds, UK in 1999 by guitarist/producer Eddie Roberts and drummer Simon Allen. They recruited Pete Shand on bass and Bob Birch on organ & piano. Bob left the band in 2007 and was replaced by Joe Tatton.  By the close of 2013 (the time of writing) their discography boasted more than twenty 7" 45rpm singles, 8 studio albums, 2 live albums, 1 remix album and several compilation albums, with one more studio album and another live album already recorded and pegged for release in 2014. The band has toured all over the USA (having visited 38 of the 50 states at last count), Japan, and to a lesser extent in UK & Europe.  Influences include James Brown, Grant Green, Booker T, Lou Donaldson and The Meters, as well as the (mainly) UK-based DJs who exposed the four musicians to the sounds of lesser known funk acts at the vinyl-only club nights of the mid-90's.
