This track is a bit of an experiment and the first recording I’ve made with my new Sequential Prophet REV2—hence the title.

The workflow was pretty hybrid: I had the Eurorack sequencing the chord progression and controlling the filter on the REV2. For the textured layers, I ran the synth signal through Mutable Instruments Beads and a Qu-Bit Bender, pitched them up an octave, and wove them in as small snippets.

The rest of the soundscape comes from an ATOM (Antumbra’s Elements clone), while the bassline is a simple patch on Plaits modulated by a few LFOs.

Recorded in one take with just a little EQ and compression added in Ableton. Hope you enjoy it.

This is a raw StudioMix exploring the best of Funky House and Nu-Disco for 2025. I wanted to capture the energy of a live performance, so what you hear is a completely unedited, one-take freestyle.

Included: Deep basslines, disco strings, and the occasional slip-up. I left the mistakes in on purpose—because that’s what a real DJ set sounds like. No computer perfection here, just human vibes and good music.

This beat centers around an awesome sampled loop from a band called Cirkus. I ran out of time when working on it, so I definitely consider this one a work in progress.  Looking forward to diving back in. As always, this is a live, one take recording using the Native Instruments Maschine MK3.

This is a spontaneous improvisation recorded in one take in my studio. The foundation of the song is a sequential prophet rev2, which is programmed to hold notes. The modular system is harmonizing to the chords and used for granular and bit-reduction effects. 

Arturia Microfreak is used to improvise on top of the spontaneously created chords and goes through a hologram electronics chroma console for reverb and saturation.

My daughter and I scrambled onto the headland at point lookout and recorded the waves bashing on the rocks below using my Zoom H1n. I then overdubbed with a live improv session some drone synth using my Stylophone CPM DS-2. There is NO post processing, recorded as played (apart from top and tail fade in/out). A wild spatial seascape plays host to an alien visitation.

This is another track that was created in one take without any further arrangement. The new sounds come from the Dave Smith Prophet Rev2, which is hooked to a modular system, which is able to follow pitch and derive phrases from it. 

make noise XPO is creating the bass line via pitch information sent to the rev2. 

beats come from Roland Tr8s. Melody is improvised with Arturia Microfreak. Make noise morphagene is playing a sample, which was auto tuned in Ableton.

all mixing was done live on a Tascam model 12 and simply exported to a stereo mix. Ableton was only uses for EQ and compression on the stereo mix.

Formed as a drunken, ad-hoc experiment for frontman/vocalist Stalker Henderson's 40th birthday party in 2006, the Mossgatherers have somehow survived and thrived in spite of (and as much as because of) themselves.
 
At 6' 6", Stalker is by far the tallest member of the group. When he's not captivating audiences with his hip-thrusting stage presence, Stalker runs Active Minds, a company that fosters lifelong learning and physical health in Colorado's senior citizen community (which requires hip-replacement stage presence). Aside from being the band’s main lyricist, Stalker is also its driving force. After all, there would be no Mossgatherers if not for Stalker's mid-life crisis all those years ago.

In 2010, Ian Keldin replaced original drummer John Gurtche, who left the Mossgatherers to design the Hall of Human Origins at the Museum of Natural History Washington D.C. (whatever).  Ian is a local filmmaker best known for producing and starring in Cannibal: The Musical, the first feature film by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone. But he is most proud of his recent opus "Kaiser Permanente: A Service Training Refresher Course".

Actor/guitarist Erik Tieze is also no stranger to Hollywood. This classically-trained Dartmouth alum has played such diverse roles as "Guy at Bar" (in the 1997 ABC miniseries Asteroid), "Minute Maid in the Morning" and “Dad Excited About Honda". In 2012 he almost got a recurring part on Breaking Bad, but we all know Hollywood is all about who you know and not what you know.  In his free time, Erik likes to design handmade t-shirts, deconstruct guitar amps and write Dada-ist murder mystery screenplays.

Over the years, the Mossgatherers have enjoyed playing such great Denver venues as Larimer Lounge, Globe Hall, Lost Lake, The Oriental Theater, Stapleton Rocks, Herman's Hideaway, Park Hill Home Tour, Stacy's Backyard, The Toad Tavern, Keystone Bluegrass Festival, Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom and Red Rocks (Oncology Center).

In 2017, the Mossgatherers launched a successful Kickstarter campaign funded to the tune of $4,300 that we used to produce our first album, which saw 1000 streams in its first three months of release and continues to rack up .30¢ in weekly royalties.

Thank you for visiting my profile. I am a lifetime music junkie that began making beats in 2019. My weapon of choice is the Native Instruments Maschine MK3. Every track posted is a live recording without a DAW or automation. I come from a background of scratching records, so I feel a need to be hands on. All tracks were created in a freestyle manner without premeditation. Part of my process is to record what I have before ending the session. The tracks here are those session recordings. They may not be perfect, but I feel they all capture some part of my soul. I hope you enjoy. One love✌️

my approach is based around a modular synthesiser ( 2x Arturia rackbrute 6U with a total of 352 HP) mounted onto a Arturia Minibrute 2s. polyphony / paraphony comes from Dave Smith Prophet rev2, Arturia Microfreak and Op1 field. for effects pedals I use endorphins golden master and chroma Console from Hologram electronics.
