Yoga, Meditation, and body-mind awareness have finally taken root in the West. People are becoming deeply passionate about their health and are diving in. And with this growth we’ve seen the emergence of a new genre of music that caters to this practice, with inspiring compositions from bands like Desert Dwellers. Altar record’s latest release is a hommage to this sound, and a chance for you to get back to your center and breath.

Yoga Temple is the result of a chance meeting between Astral Waves (aka DJ Zen) and the lovely and talented Aurelie Morgane (aka AEolia) at a festival in 2013. Struck by their common love of meditation, yoga, and beautiful open spaces, the two decided to team up at Altar headquarters. A magnificent view of the forest served as their principle inspiration, and helped give birth to this project which is set to be released around December 2015.

With track lengths that average twenty minutes, this is the perfect soundtrack for relaxation, letting go, giving or receiving a massage, yoga, meditation and just generally feeling great. The music is spiritually uplifting, warm and enveloping.

Aurelie plays several flutes including the Indian Bansuri. An experienced, expressive solo player, her proficiency allows her to tune in and completely improvise. DJ Zen takes care of the production side with pads and synthesizers, with lush sounds that unfold organically and give the listener an incredible sense of space. The compositions flow like a river, ever shifting, yet on course, allowing you to travel to places that you alone hold the key.

May you enjoy many blissful moments, and much happiness on your journey to your inner temple.

Thanks to Adam4le (https://soundcloud.com/adam4le) for his inspirational piano track. I improvised strings in one or takes on top of piano and mixed it with two reverbs. Solo strings and piano in a medium hall and larger string orchestra in a large hall. (I used the Medium Hall and the Dream Hall in Logic Pro.) Coming to streaming platforms. Proceeds go to my brain surgery and medical expenses.

am a professional UK based  session guitarist and songwriter working in TV where my clients include Primark, Flora, Touchnote, Pampers, Wealth Dragons, Horrid Henry, and the BBC. I also work with artists and I have  been fortunate to share stage and studio with Maram Hassler, Barbara Zanetti, T’Pau, Liv Austen, Dave Berry, Mike Pender, Leo Kelly-Gee, Dave Dee,Leanne Mitchell(Winner The Voice 2012)Jamie Johnson (Finalist The Voice 2014) Rachel Cardy, Brian Pool, Mike D’Abo, The Supremes,Freak Power, and many others. Since 2009, Altar Records has been a pioneering force in the electronic music scene, both as a label and a publisher. Owned and managed by the renowned DJ Zen from Canada, Altar Records is dedicated to producing and promoting innovative and captivating electronic music.

Patrick´s sound can be described as straight ahead techno, but also taking in influences from house music. He presents tech-house music, partly monotone, but always under the aspect of being groovy. He combines the elements of a lot of different styles in order to show it as a whole.
 
In 1999 he founded the event and artist agency Global Tunes and organized various big events with internationally well-known artist. In March 2002 Patrick quit his job in this agency in order to focus on his own studio projects.
In 2003 he met Harold Todd from the Lenny Kravitz band and, following his passion to house music, they set up the project Sexy Pie. In 2004 they released their first single. In the same year he started to work for the Frankfurt based label Cocoon Recordings, where he is responsible for the digital distribution.
 
In 2006 his first EP gets released including a remix by Oliver Koletzki. A lot of other releases followed – cooperations with and remixes from artists like Guy Gerber, DJ Sneak, Boris Brejcha, Mendo, Alex Flatner, Broombeck and studio partner M.in speak for oneself.
 
In 2010 he produced the Ibiza-Spotlight-Podcast for Cocoon Recordings, which represented the sound of the label of this summer. Later that year he was also responsible for the Bonus Mix for the „Sound Of The Eleventh Season“ by Sven Väth.

2011 has been a highly productive year: Patrick´s remix for Extrawelt´s Titelheld hit the third place of the Beatport techno charts. He also mixed the retrospective Mix-CD of „11 Years Cocoon Recordings“. In the same year he finally set up his own label Insist Music.

Patrick´s own music and remixes can be found on countless esteemed label like Cocoon  Recordings, Suara, Kling Klong, Leena, Form Music, Octopus, BluFin and keinemusik amongst others. His remixes are highly appreciated by colleagues and so it is no wonder that artists like Extrawelt, Boys Noize and Lützenkirchen rely on his works.
