I'm learning to produce my own music as I go so here is a remastered version of the song i recently released, "Looking Glass." I didnt expect it to go anywhere soon but more to stand as evidence of a song in the works, but the previous recording found its way to release radar on spotify! That was awesome but embarassing at the same time. That track wasnt ready. Here's a better version of the same song, "Looking Glass" that deals with my own battle with addiction. The dependency on anything that is ultimately limiting (drugs, booze, TV, food, porn, vaping/cigs, compulsive cleaning, etc) is the crack in the looking glass that i refer to in the song. When there is panic during a withdrawal, our perception is distorted. this distortion is the addiction.

Looking Glass (Remaster)

Fundamentally a remix from the video game music from "The Guardian Legend" NES game's 4 outer world, with a solo added and a melody strip at the beginning (showing only SOME notes of the whole melody at first). It wanders as far as 156cents (1.5 semi-tones or touching notes on most keyboards) from the original melody. The reason why it still "sounds like 12Tet" is that it was composed using what I deemed "TYL Tuning" : you just choose intonation of the notes To Your Liking, without any scale...

ABOUT TYL TUNING :
1- It encompasses every possible note
2- therefore emcompasses every other tuning
3- is (most likely eh?) to be the most fitting to your harmonic needs, whatever that is (unless you incorporate non-empty 0's in your math, I doubt it can't do it)

This song is about having recovered my hearing issues, and coming back to music, writing the very first song after several years of tinitus and hyperacusis. It's a very happy and hopeful song to me as I understood, while finding the ideas and seeing the song taking life that I was healed :)

How Come was first written and demoed a couple of years back.  It's a straightforward pop/rock song with a killer hook.  Emily really nails the vocals on this one. Where Is the Song

Franny is a Budapest-based folk musician. Raised in close proximity to nature, she still draws most of her inspiration from all the natural things that surround us. In her songs, natural elements often serve as symbols, metaphors for the inner life of people. Her music is built on mystical lyrics and melancholic tunes, accompanied by fingerstyle guitar.

We pretty much started when we were kids, but we were really crap haha.. but we have been getting better and better so we thought why not just upload our music on the internet! We do all our recording in a little room in a shed which we call "The Dog Box".

Over the years the lineup has changed, at this stage M.U.S is a solo project that does collabs from time to time.

Its actually really hard to describe the soundscape of the music because it vary's so much.

The first three albums we recorded, (two of which are ancient made when we were just young lads :p), sound like murder haha.. But the stuff that's being uploaded now is recent, which should be a big YAY! For you cause you won't die from bleeding out your ears :)

Influences vary a lot too, some of my influences include: Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Eric Clapton, Devin Townsend, Metallica, Tool, Joe Bonamassa, plus a whole bunch more!

There's probably a million chaps better out there but meh, I still love to make music, mistakes and all.

I had my first keyboard at 14 years old. I remember finding out about the concept of chords by randomly spreading out my 3 first fingers on 3 white notes with 1 white note in between not being pressed... wow! 

Then later came the interrogation, from a friend of mine, of why "the sound made when playing a chord (it was major or minor) kind of varies slowly over time...

A few years later, when I was in college, my friend who studied in electronics gave me a sheet with every 432Hz-convention's notes' frequencies in Hz. Looking at it I would notice that there seems to be simple fractions approximated by the frequencies of a major chord (by then I've gotten familiar with all 3 & 4-note chords).

Following my observations, I would then come up with the idea of making music made of notes that would be 4/3, 5/3, 5/4, 6/4, 7/4, 6/5, 7/5, 8/5, and 9/5. Mind you; I wasn't aware that the notes chosen would resemble that which I already used before on a 12Tet keyboard, 7/4 being the farthest my experiments would get me from what we get to play on a regular keyboard. I was still young, and did not even remotely considered to come to the fact that this is what harmony is actually based on.

It was only in 2011, like 13 years later, than I would one night find out about what Just Intonation is, and realize my old idea of using ratios to tune notes wasn't an original, Machiavellian, super-mastermind plan.

About 5 other years passed, before one day I purchased a new keyboard which came with Ableton Live software. I would then use that to make improvisation tracks over popular songs. It took about another year before I started producing microtonal music using FL Studio.

For 21 years I have carried my desire to make my own music without actually doing anything else than talking (and thinking) about it, like a friend of mine once pointed me out after I shared my ideas on "what I'll do when I'll make music". Better late than never...
