Wind and Water

Argon 8 and Opsix in an FM duo pop track. Drums from some Roland R8 samples into Ableton drumrack.

I love these FM strat keys in the second half (originally from Synclavier I was told) as it reminds me of Tangerine Dream. I usually pick the 8-bit sine and saw waveforms on the Opsix wherever I can, to get that gritty quality. The bass is tweaked in that fashion.

These two synths work tremendously well together and don't try to win the audio spectrum like more different synths tend to do.

Es liegt auf der Hand den Korg opsix unmittelbar nach dem Auspacken gleich einmal auf seine "Retro" Fähigkeiten hin zu testen. Nicht umsonst startet der Hersteller mit den E-Pianos, was ich sogleich als Aufforderung auffasste. Zugegeben, es fehlt das "bambusartige" (©pmm) im ersten Sound und in der Mitte mangelt es an der unschlagbaren Umsetzung einer dynamischen Klangsteuerung, wie sie scheinbar nur Yamaha schafft. Dennoch bin ich bzgl. des Ergebnisses positiv überrascht.

Bei den Pads habe ich einen Klang angewählt, die Quinte gespielt und gehalten, den nächsten Klang angewählt und drüber gespielt. Ok, das Dimension D ist einfach.... das Dimension D. Nichtsdestotrotz bin ich vom Ergebnis wirklich beeindruckt. Das darauffolgende Beispiel reiht sich da nahtlos ein.

Music producer and sound engineer creating dark, experimental electronic music. It is characterized by gritty sounds, full of analog grain, and vinyl crackling. Synths, deep bass, low tempos and spaces straight from a post-apocalyptic vision of the world. He tries to put as much emotion and production skills into his music as possible. When I'm not playing video games, I might actually be found working on some production. I'm really into an all hardware approach to music making these days and loving various synths, sequencers, and drum machines. I would even dare to say music making has surpassed gaming and is now my main pastime! While still trying to pinpoint my musical "sound", I definitely find myself incorporating my love for Deep House from my many years spent as a DJ but I'm not afraid to just let the music guide me in the moment. You can likely expect House, Techno, Electronica, Experimental, Synthwave, and basically anything synth-focused. Thanks for listening!

Ableton Live with a couple of va, analogs, fm, romplers and various hybrid synths via a MOTU 828x and of course vsts. Style includes all sorts of genres, I guess film and games is the theme.
