For Christmas 2025,  I decided to write something original instead of covering a classic. Is it the next “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”? Probably not… but it is chill, upbeat, and optimistic.

A friend of mine said it sounds like Forrest Frank meets New Kids on the Block. That seems about right. It bounces, it’s got singalong choruses, it’s got jingle bells, and hopefully it gets you thinking about good things this Christmas season. Once again, this song features a saxophone cameo from the legendary Chase Replogle, and I play, sing, or program everything else. So sing along, snap your fingers, smile… and have a Merry Christmas!

Mi pasión desde muy joven ha sido componer música al piano como un aficionado.

KM 0 is an independent electronic music producer duo based in Bologna (Italy) and composed of Jacopo Latini (aka Jabba) and Pasquale Berardi (aka Pachi MPC). Hours and hours of listening music is our food, synths, keyboards, drum machines, samplers and electronic bass are the tools to make it happen within the broad range of the electronic music.

KM 0 is a laboratory where many musical influences (House, Hip Hop, Italo Disco, Funk and not only) are mixed up to propose passionate musical experiments, that range from club vibes to more chill/ambient moods, to create background tracks for different urban situations and emotions. 

KM 0 aims to keep on spreading a message of love and “need” for music from its basement studio (somewhere in Bologna) to all the neighbourhoods around the World by leveraging on technology both to transform ideas into music and as a communication channel.

To celebrate 2000, I took a year off to write songs, novels, plays, and stories - and I've been doing that since. At the end of my first year, I won first prize in the USA Songwriting Contest in the Lyric Category for 'Drum Machines and Beauty Queens.' This led to co-writing songs with many excellent musicians, including those represented in songs posted here. 

More recently, I was one of seven finalists in the Crisis Lyric Category of the 2021 UK Songwriting Contest for 'Lockdown Blues,' and one of nine nominees in the 2021 International Song Awards with 'Didn't the River Know' and 'Blue and Gold.'

For the past two years, I've been collaborating with many talented musicians on Kompoz. I release many of these songs here and compile the best into albums released under Captain Stormfield's Trip on Spotify and other platforms (see links below).
