Evolving the timeless Journey
When GU013 Ibiza arrived in September 1999, Sasha’s selections from his Space Ibiza sets etched themselves into the fabric of global club culture. The originals spoke with clarity: Deep Progress in its uncut form, Mercury & Solace in its soaring trance guise, Stage One as a milestone of cinematic progression. Each track was placed with precision, creating an arc that felt both inevitable and untouchable.
This 2025 reconstruction takes that same map and redraws the contours. Where Sasha placed the originals, here alternate versions step forward. Raff n Freddy’s Deep Progress returns, but reshaped through a Mosho edit — sharper, more insistent. Zoe, once heard in its classic trance cut, now glows with Chris Cargo’s private remix. BT’s Mercury & Solace is no longer the anthem as-was, but a re-edit that bends its edges into something more elusive.
Some classics take on whole new skins: Perception reworked with Ruhe’s subtle touch, Heaven Scent lifted into Marsh’s widescreen palette, Xpander expanded again through Axel V’s mind-expansion. Even cornerstones like Stage One and Dreamstate branch into alternate realities — edits and remixes that tilt the familiar sky into new colors.
The differences are not jolts but tangents: quiet deviations that send the listener into unexpected spaces. The sequence still flows with the DNA of Ibiza ’99, but the journey is threaded with detours — edits, B-sides, and reinterpretations that Take you into a familiar space but another dimension.

Owl Farm 2025: sometimes sequels CAN be better than their predecessors.

What a weekend of amazing music, company, and adventure!

Once again, the good folk in Reno came together for an epic weekend, along with a number of new and familiar faces, springing out from the Pacific Northwest, San Diego, Arizona, and the Midwest.

It was fantastic.

This collection of tunes and ideas was meant to kick off a medley of Breakbeat sets Saturday evening, courtesy of the old Good Friday gang. It wasn't latenight yet, but the mission was clear: meld early evening into the oncoming insanity in a firm but organic manner.

I hope that comes through as well in the recording as it did in the moment.

As always, I tried to bring my best, as did other members of my old Good Friday Crew (and many others). It was just a small part of the enormous effort, collaboration, and attention to detail that everyone involved brought.

moQon is the electronic alias of Alessandro Di Paola — producer, composer, and sonic designer from Turin, Italy. 

His work features original productions, edits, and reworks across house, techno, IDM, glitch, and all the infinite spaces in between. Fragmented sounds, carefully reconstructed — balancing instinct and architecture, emotion and abstraction.

Alessandro’s musical journey began with classical studies at the Conservatory, then split in two: One path devoted to composition and soundtracks, the other immersed in the night — where moQon takes shape. 

A distorted moon. A rhythm pulsing in silence. A voice that doesn’t speak, but resonates.

moQon is not just a name — it’s a method. A tension between control and chaos. Between analog warmth and digital fracture.

Ordia’s journey with electronic music began in the early '90s, falling in love with dance music before even understanding what it was. Influenced early on by pioneers like Jam & Spoon, Orbital, and Underworld, these formative sounds laid the foundation for a lifelong obsession.

His voice and selections have featured across numerous radio shows - from underground UK broadcasts to Melbourne’s Street FM, and even co-hosting on Kiss FM in the late '90s. Today, he's come full circle, hosting Positive Education every Monday night on Kiss FM Australia - a show known for its carefully curated sets, guest interviews and deep dives into the genre’s icons.

In particular, the 101 Series has become a fan favourite: a radio documentary-style format celebrating legendary acts like The Prodigy, Future Sound of London, Jeff Mills, Aphex Twin, and Underworld - weaving music, stories, and context into a sonic journey through their legacies.

While Ordia’s taste spans the electronic spectrum, techno remains his foundation - especially the deeper, hypnotic, melodic strains. His sets blend rolling rhythms, heavy synth basslines, and immersive atmospheres that are as entrancing as they are energising.
