Hey there! I’m FROGR, a hardhouse, classic trance and eurorave alias of Orbyte. I’ve gained some artention playing in London and some small gigs in The Netherlands, but I really want to show what I’ve got! These genres bring me back to my roots, when I was a kid I listened a lot to old school trance music. That was the music people went out on. I’m happy this is popular again, and I love to bring it back to the stages! I hope you like to GET FROGD!!!

Techno time!!!

As the festival season starts, I'm in Gran Canaria going trough my techno records. Techno is a big scene here in clubs and at events, more as trance. Signature '25 is OUT NOW! This year's theme is about my personal journey across myself and the Canary Islands. I've learned a lot about myself, the overthinking mind inside me and the islands hold a great stamp in my brain teaching me well.

Part 1 resembles Lanzarote, the island that represents calmth and no type of worries. Time does not exist here. I've included tracks representing this vibe; progressive, slow beat yet also a techno sound bringing back it's volcanic origin. Part 3 represents the island of Tenerife. This is the last island I visited, and it’s a majestic place. I’ve caught myself saying “what the h*ll” looking around the scenery and driving across the volcano. This place is extreme, but amazing. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MULTIVERSE!

This episode is a double special; because I'm taking you on a journey. A Journey to the pure me. A journey called Signature '25! This year I'm bringing the annual compilation mixes back on september 15 (as always) with a new theme called 'pure'. This year's theme is about how I met the pure me on my journey to the Canary Islands. Mix 1 is called Lanzarote, a calm and vibrant place and covers progressive, tech-house and deeper tones. Mix 2, known as Gran Canaria, has a lot of variation just like the island. An energetic buildup. Mix 3 resembles the amazing island of Tenerife, covering euhoric and classic tunes I listened during my sunset drives. 

A new thing to Signature is that I've blended this year's mixes with my new FROGR sound! I hope you love it!

The Multiverse of Music | Episode 012 (Signature '25 Special)

Orbyte discovered electronic music back in 2018, admiring big names such as Armin van Buuren, Hardwell and David Guetta. Back then he started playing the decks before his friends, and a year later his very first time before the public!

Orignating from the area of Utrecht, the Netherlands, Orbyte dedicated his sets to the sounds of trance and melodic techno, as he enjoyed classical euphoric music as a kid. From small closed events then, he kept going with his passion for music, creating mixes over and over. It has resulted in his Signature compilation mixes where he celebrates his birthday with in a different theme every year. In 2024 he started his radio show called The Multiverse of Music, where he showcases his musical library, invites guests for a mix and shares his inspirations.

Orbyte is known in the Netherlands and the UK, playing for Fusion in London, Oblivion Trance in NL and many other intimate events.

FROGR was born in late 2024 as the bouncy new alias of Dutch DJ Jochem Smeding, also known as Orbyte. Leaving the pond with a leap of pure passion, FROGR channels the golden age of rave, blending euphoric trance, scratching hardhouse, and raw Eurorave into a sound that is uplifting, energetic, and unashamedly happy.

Inspired by the 90s and 00s, FROGR acts as a kind of musical journalist, digging deep into the archives to revive forgotten gems and timeless anthems and sounds, reshaping them for today’s dancefloors. His sets are fast-paced journeys at 145 BPM, designed to make crowds smile, jump, and lose themselves in the euphoria of classic rave culture.

Since his debut, FROGR has made an explosive entrance onto the international stage. From London’s underground clubs; starting at Fusion in Basing House and later closing the night at EGG LDN; to appearances at Amsterdam Dance Event and High Voltage Recordings label nights, FROGR has proven his ability to captivate audiences with pure rave energy.

What began as a small alias has already grown into a movement: one that reconnects people to the roots of dance music while giving it a fresh, unstoppable drive. With goosebumps, adrenaline, and tears of joy on the dancefloor, FROGR is here to make the world jump and above all: GET FROGD!
