“Dawn of Resurrection” is the ending track of Dark Model’s second full album “Saga.” This song, which features sparse, ambient intro and anthemic chorus sung by the soprano, plays a role to close the story, which is depicted through “Saga,” but at the same time, the title implies that your heroic journey still continues.

“Resurrection” doesn’t always mean a specific religious or one-time-only event but more spiritual or metaphysical ones you would encounter in your own life. You might call that kind of resurrection “transformation.” You sometimes feel beaten, defeated, and devastated. But you can have a chance to rediscover and redefine the purpose and meaning of your life anytime. Yes, you can resurrect yourself, e.g., regain your motivation (inner-hero), as long as you will.

- Backstory - 

I want to share with you an interesting backstory about this song. Before I decided to go with “Dawn of Resurrection” as the title of this song, I asked one of my friends in NYC if he felt the title fit well. He, who is American and an expert in literature, answered me yes and added, “with this track, for some reason, Osamu Dazai’s Japanese novel No Longer Human (Ningen Shikkaku) came to mind–a book I really love.” While it was totally unexpected that I heard the book’s name from him, I was very intrigued by the fact he had found some common ground between my song and that Japanese dark tale filled with woe.

As I mentioned above, I included an optimistic and motivational message in this song, like “you can find a way to go through the darkness (such as struggle, adversity, and devastation) by transforming yourself,” which seems somewhat different from what Dazai wanted to tell us through the book. However, it may be said that at least both try to tell a story by focusing on the struggles of an individual, e.g., the dark side of the human psyche.

„Tygos“ is the 3rd studio album by Nortas

The album, which title came out as abbreviated lithuanian word "strings", is plenty of experimentation with organic sounds and gloomy ambient-styled synthesisers. In "Tygos", the themes of most of the instrumental works are related to waiting, the connection with the surrounding world and the purpose of the individual.

Pieces such as "Mirror", "Tir", or "Else If" use instruments which were not used in Nortas music previously, such as bass guitar, violin, viola, cello and double bass. Music in "Tygos" is very heavy piano-driven, which helps to reflect a fragile mood through most of the works.

Ken Zo - Born in Mauritius

One of the leading DJs & Producers in Mauritius and pioneering local underground electronic music culture. With nearly 15 years of DJing under his belt, He has been involved in most of the bigger events in Mauritius, and was also co-organiser for events that hosted big names like Grouch, Breger, Evil Oil Man, Merkaba. He was also part of the organisation of E K T A Festival 2015, one of the first 3 day electronic music event hosted in Mauritius.

Usually known for his compositions with a defining take on Psytech, his DJ sets on the other hand exude versatility and he covers many genres from deep house to full on psychedelic trance with all genres in between.

In 2017, he was awarded the Backstage Award for Best DJ. 

He grew up surrounded by music. His mother was his first music teacher going over the basics of piano and singing. His parents enrolled him for violin classes at the age of 7 at the Conservatoire de Musique Francois Mitterrand where he also learnt music theory in french. At the age of 13 he moved on to the Conservatoire de Musique Frederic Chopin where he was trained in piano and music theory in English,

Simultaneously during his teen years, Fabrice experimented with many genres - pop, rock, rnb - and played in many amateur bands and orchestras playing guitar, violin and keys.

He started DJing and producing in 2007 under the alias Mr.Snob playing commercial and progressive house as well as an occasional techno set here and there. The beginning was mostly birthday parties and school fairs with very rare club gigs. His career started picking up around 2011 just when he flew off to Melbourne Australia for his studies. He performed throughout Australia under his knew alias Ken Zo, finding his place within the niche psychedelic community playing fusion sets of techno and psy.

Kimpituy – meaning roughly “butterfly” in Quechua – is the creative nest where music and literature take flight. We proudly present a diverse roster of musical acts:
