Von Süßigkeiten zur Ostalgie -  JEDER KANN WAS #14

Eine Liebesgeschichte, die nach dem Mauerfall ein jähes Ende fand. Als ich Wessi  im November 2005 erstmals bewusst nach dem Mauerfall wieder in Berlin war, kamen alten Bilder wieder hoch, als es bei einem milden Herbst nachts mit Temperatursturz plötzlich geschneit hatte und alles aus dem Fenster des Hostels so ähnlich aussah wie damals, als wir uns Mitte der 80er  im bittekalten Winter trafen, sie in Ostberlin bei Verwandten, ich mit Tagesvisum von West-Berlin nach Ostberlin. Der Text kam schnell, später Stück für Stück die Musik.
Auf jeden Fall find ich, die Ostalgie sollte zum immateriellen Unesco-Welt-Kulturerbe erhoben werden, gell?

The ‘Emergence’ series was the first fully-fledged project of Bella Ursa's head honcho Letherique, aimed at experimenting with the boundaries of his many influences – no matter if its techno, disco, electro, or ambient. It helped forge his identity through much trial and error and ultimately led to the creation of the Bella Ursa imprint.
As now is the time to finally move forward in peace, we thought it would be nice to release a mixtape compiling all these early works, along with a few extra and unreleased tracks. To make this collection complete, he entrusted many of his friends met over the years with each producing a remix of their choice. Harnessing the power from a multitude of different scenes, ‘Emergence Remixed’ offers a brand-new journey into uncharted horizons, where Morodesque disco meets mind-altering electro-jazz and cinematic delights reminiscent of Lalo Schifrin’s soundtracks.
It will be released digitally on all platforms, but also on a cassette inside a beautiful smoked UV printed case, which assembles with the first part of the collection.

City is a German rock band, formed in East Berlin in 1972, best known for the song "Am Fenster" ("At/By The Window") from its 1978 debut album.

The band was founded as the City Band Berlin by Fritz Puppel (guitar), Klaus Selmke (drums), Ingo Doering (bass guitar), Klaus Witte (keyboards), Frank Pfeiffer (vocals) and Andreas Pieper (flute). The lineup changed frequently in the band's early years, but stabilized by 1976, with Puppel and Selmke joined by Bulgarian violinist and bassist Georgi Gogow and vocalist-guitarist Toni Krahl. They changed their name to City Rock Band and eventually to simply City.

City toured extensively in East Germany, and was given the opportunity to record an album in 1978. The eponymous City showcased the band's guitar-driven rock; several songs are parables, such as "Der King vom Prenzlauer Berg" (The King Of Prenzlauer Berg), about a young man who gets into too many fights; and "Meister aller Klassen" (Masters Of All Classes"), about cocky motorcyclists whose desire for speed ends in tragedy.

The band's greatest commercial success, however, was the atypical folk rock-influenced "Am Fenster" (At the Window), which arose from a jam session in the studio when Gogow began to play on his violin. It eventually coalesced into a three-part, 17-minute piece (as well as a four-minute version for radio play). An immediate hit in East Germany, it also became successful in West Germany and was a success in countries such as Greece. Following the song's success, City sold half a million copies. In 2019, Am Fenster was voted by a jury as the best song of all time from East Germany.

Kommissar Keller's roots are in synthetic and extraordinary dance music from all over the world of the last 50 years. Never heard pieces of music appear. It is not tragic if a very slow song is played in triple speed. And a very fast track appears very slow.
