Saturn Ring Safari Set.

This is an outer-space journey to the rings of Saturn.

If we were to travel the 1.402.074.375 kilometers that separate Saturn from the Earth, this is the music I would listen to… If light takes approximately 1 hour and 17 minutes to travel from Saturn and arrive to us, then -in order to get there by the end of this set- we would need to travel at around half the speed of light. Clearly, a galactic soundtrack is required for this epic journey to this far away planet, with changes in the mood according to the adventures encountered along the way.

What you listen at the beginning of the set, is one of NASA´s “Saturn V” space rocket launches. It´s first flight was one 9th of November, back in 1967. An interesting year, indeed, for our race to space… A few months before, on the 16th of March, the “Echo Flight Incident” occurred. A rarely known event that makes me wonder on how interstellar travelling and helping might be.

Having said this, fasten your seatbelts, and enjoy the flight!

Neptune From Saturn Set.

This is an outer-space journey to Neptune, departing from Saturn not so long ago.

It is very, very far away. So, it might be a bumpy ride to get there. As far as I know, maybe a little bit harder as well. A pangalactic adventure, that is for sure! … or so I have heard. And so it is, that another cosmos-soundtrack is required for another epic voyage to a planet which is even further away than our first stop in those mighty rings... In fact, it is the furthest known planet within our Solar System… 

Ah! Neptune! Composed primarily of gas and liquids, the music over there resonates and sounds pretty uplifting, indeed. Let us find out!

With no further ado, fasten your seatbelts, and enjoy the flight!

Clicky, wavy, drippy reverberant sounds. Could be what it would sound like in space if space wasn't a vacuum. 

Wearing binaural mics, I recorded myself eating a breakfast burrito 🙂. Then I put the recording on two tracks and used a mix of Fog Convolver and Salty Grain to muck around with the sound. Also boosted the bass a little. The louder sounds at the end are three hand claps, but the rest is the sound of me eating breakfast.
