Portal Open is a series of Ecstatic Dance mini-sets that offer a taste of the full-length dance journeys shared at live events.

The Cosmos opens with the primordial Om—the sound of the universe being born—and unfolds across time, space, and imagination. It weaves the ancient with the futuristic, the natural with the synthetic, the possible with the impossible.

Moving through shamanic textures, psychedelic spirals, and moments where the universe seems to laugh at you, this mix invites you to dissolve, expand, and arrive. You’ll land gently back on Earth, under sky, with the grounding sounds of crickets and birdcall.

John talks about adapting the Klowns score to a live to film concert, music education in the 70s, and his love for vintage synthesizers. John has some juicy behind the scenes stories while working on the music for B-movies like the Snake Eater Trilogy, Retro Puppet Master and Kickboxer 5. They also chat about how music production has changed over the years, scoring mobisodes, and being a kid on Halloween during the Cuban missile crisis. And to keep things Halloweeny, Andy is joined by Mike Mendoza to, sort of, talk about Halloween stuff.

I’m a singer-songwriter with a broad bass-baritone range. I'm somewhat curious about trying other music styles; you'll hear a broad array, from inspirational house progressive to nujazz, but I stick to EDM.

I work another job full-time, so I don't have a lot of time to crank out much music. I don't have a lot of polished music. I use this account like a lab. I’ve got 50+ originals ready for vocals and hundreds of drafts abound, so you’ll see me posting plenty, even multiple rough  versions of the same song. I’m my own remixer & I'm testing stuff out. 

I find I have to write something down to connect my thoughts and feelings to something solid, like original music or journaling, otherwise I am going to spend my entire day in my head and not create anything. That's the primary reason why I got into music, and why there's tons of it!
