Monog Records label boss Joal heads up our next release with the fantastic My Favourite Outfit EP which comes complete with three top notch remixes as well as the original. Joal has been running Monog since 2009 and he remains committed to sourcing only the best sounds to get on the books. Joal also releases his works on various other labels including Selador, Knee Deep in Sound and High Strings to name just a few. On top of that he is currently developing his live act which is well worth checking out on Youtube.

The Original Mix intros with a very cool thumping kick that is accompanied by equally fresh percussions that deliver a nice retro theme. A long, easy bass note rings out and gets us settled into the deep tech groove. We go deeper into the sound with a wonderful acid line that fades in from nowhere and totally dominates the groove. Big stabby synths fill in the gaps and add a kind of futuristic vibe that contrasts well with the deeper, retro elements. On the break we get treated to a smooth, subtle breakbeat as the cosmic synths are joined by an eerie high string and cool spoken vocals. A strong build up takes us back to the main sound for the duration of this superb slice of tech, a must have for sure.

Berlin based, Portuguese DJ and producer Jepe debuts on Monog with the first of two remixes. Jepe started out in 1994 on local radio stations in Portugal, which led to his first residency in the Estacao La Luz club, a residency he has held since 1997. From here he got in production and has released on many top labels including Let's Play House, Circle Music, Cecille Records, Brown Eyed Boyz, Beef Records and Get Physical as well as his own label, Blossom Kollektiv. A much revered artist who has played all over the world, we are delighted to have this guy on board. The Let's Celebrate remix intros with a nice and strong punchy kick alongside rhythmic percussions that will get the feet dancing on the floors. Strange sweeping synths come through and add a metallic edge to the sound as the tech layers build. Cool vocals litter the sound throughout and add character to the track creating a very fresh rhythmic groove. The low end sounds subtly ply their trade as this track is all about the drums and synths. A top notch relentless groove that will be a welcome addition in any set.

Jepe's Stripped Raw Mix is up next and does exactly what the title suggests. Very smooth, rounded sounds blend perfectly to deliver a solid deep tech workout. The synths develop a little grit to beef things up a bit and add an edginess to the sound. The drums beat out a cool rhythmic groove that is joined by those cool vocals. Excellent stuff yet again from Jepe and a track that will not disappoint.

Berlin based Pascal Hetzel debuts on Monog with his fantastic remix. DJ and producer Pascal has spent the last few years conquering the Berlin's bustling club scene and along the way he has released his music through various labels including Sound Of Vast, Upon You Records, Non Pop Records, Wood Recordings and many more. As well as playing at top gigs in Berlin, Pascal has played around the world at various top venues including at the Analog Room in Dubai and Resolute in New York City. The remix intros with a solid kick that packs a nice punch and sits snugly amidst an ever increasing array of drums and percussions. Soft plinks and plonks dissolve into the sound in a playful manner that gives the impression of being trapped inside an 8bit video game. These sounds keep the vibe firmly locked into a techno groove that builds and builds to become even more surreal. The bass offers up a smooth warmth to the sound that contrast beautifully with the higher frequencies. A superb display of tech grooves that will both captivate and invigorate.

Florian Meindl is a multi-talented and multi-faceted artist, who is renowned for his technical
prowess.
Producing for over fourteen years, Florian has become known for his deep, grooving powerful
techno. His productions are characterised by his love of analog, which represent his true signature
sound.
2006 saw the inception of Florian’s label FLASH Recordings. The label showcases Florian’s musical
vision, reflects his taste and gives him tracks for his DJ Mixes. A platform for artists that Florian
likes, FLASH has had over 130 releases already including tracks from Heron, Electric Rescue, Jamie
Anderson, Alignment, Hans Bouffmyhre & Avgusto.
In May 2015 Florian released his second solo album ‘Collide’ to critical acclaim. The album was
clearly influenced by Florian’s transition from producing almost entirely digitally for thirteen years
to recording mainly analog jamming sessions and editing the end results after on the computer. The
technical aspect is integral to Florian’s musical journey that he takes the listener on. His talent lies
in enabling the machines to speak and groove, to connect with them and create sounds and
patterns.
In addition to solo releases and numerous collaborations with international artists, and remixing the
likes of Hot Chip & Royksopp, Florian is busy with his sound design brand Riemann Kollektion and
Riemann Modular which is his new studio gear company specializing in Eurorack Modules.
As a DJ, live performer, studio producer and sound designer, Florian has over the years established
an impressive producing base for himself in his Berlin based Riverside Studio complex with an
exciting hardware set up including Modular Systems, an analog mixing desk as well as classic
machines like Roland 909.
After fourteen years of international performances and production, Florian has developed a special
connection with his analog equipment, letting them speak for him in music where words just aren’t
possible. His third album will be released in February 2017 in combination with a worldwide full
analog live act tour.

It is the year 2007.

Electronic music is more popular than ever, especially TechHouse is on a thriving uprise and Berlin already became the buzzing nightlife capital of the world it is known as today.

Amidst all these creative and musical vibes a new label is born -  Upon.You Records. Founded in February 2007 by DJ & producer Marco Resmann, with a first release under his moniker Phage on Martin Landsky's Intim Recordings as well as great success as one half of the infamous project Luna City Express under his belt, and electronic music veteran Hawks Grunert, formerly involved in running Timing Recordings with Tanith as well as working for legendary „Frontpage“ magazine, Upon.You Records was already widely recognized for its first release, Phage's „Vut & Vat EP“, and started to drive on the fast lane immediately.

Originally intended to be a platform for music from an inner circle of friends as well as for aspiring young talent it didn't take long until the label branched out in 2008 with first international signings,  various label tours all over the place and a first label compilation.

In 2009, after receiving massive support from nightlife heavyweights like Steve Bug, Brothers Vibe, Someone Else and many more, a cover story in German electronic music magazine GROOVE and with a catalogue of roughly twenty 12“ releases Upon.You launched two subdivisions - Upon.You Digital and the momentary Upon.You Sweet & Sour Series – and established a booking agency as well as regular label events at two of Berlin's most praised venues, Watergate Club and the infamous Panoramabar.

Furthermore Upon.You Records teamed up with Workaholics Berlin for the launch of a merchandising line in 2009, introducing the labels unique visual image to the world of street fashion.

With the launch of the annual label retro- / futurespective „Upon.You Diary“ and an expanded core artist family now including Marco Resmann, Martin Landsky, ONNO, Ruede Hagelstein, Gunnar Stiller, Magit Cacoon and The Cheapers alongside many others, 2010 finally paved the way for success and fruitful growth to come in consecutive years in which Upon.You became one of the leading labels in all things TechHouse and related.

And it was even the first issue „Upon.You Diary“ that awed the electronic world with Marco Resmann's widely praised tune „This Song“, immediately ruling every dancefloor after it was released and drawing even more attenttion towards the Berlin-based label which continued to expand its growing international network whilst signing releases by Quenum, Kink or the UK-based longtime ambassador Steve Lawler.

On a jam-packed schedule of about twenty releases per year lately, including Ruede Hagelstein's Beatport smash „Minus“, with label artists touring the globe frequently and armed with the brand new, 2014-launched UYX subdivision focusing on raw TechHouse and classic stamped whitelabel aesthetics, Upon.You has grown into a major force on the international electronic music circuit.

Always on the lookout for new talent and keen to explore new territories, the future looks brighter than ever for Upon.You after entering the longplay circuit with the widely acknowledged album debut of the former Tel Aviv- and now Berlin-based DJ / producer Magit Cacoon, another successful instalment of the „Upon.You Diary“-series and finally entering three digit realms with the release of Marco Resmann's extrordinary gold vinyl 12“  „100“ - the onehundredth Upon.You single release in the label history which was released in late 2015.

And things surely are about to be busier than ever for all members of the Upon.You camp over the course of 2016, celebrating the labels 8th anniversary with a dedicated series of label events all over Europe and special showcases at Sonar / Barcelona as well as ADE and, of course, a string of high quality releases for maximum dancefloor pleasure throughout this season and beyond. Watch out.



Here's an update about the music we are looking for.

History learns people have always seen us as ambassadors of quality electronic music regardless the genres we touch. Over the years music has evolved, so did our musical taste, a combination which is pushing us to think more forward.

In order to focus on what we really want to do and giving artists what they deserve, it's become necessary to discontinue some of our labels. Most of these labels are part of that trance scene which we helped develop in the early 90's. The trance scene of today does not fit our vision, so we will fully focus our 3 remaining trance labels (Subtraxx, Camouflage & Nemesis) on quality progressive trance.

You will wonder now what we really want to focus on, well deep progressive, mini tech, tech house and real progressive house as we have been doing in our own way over the past year on Bonzai Progressive, Bonzai Basiks, ...

For over a decade, Pascal Hetzel has been a steady presence in Berlin's large electronic music community. He developed a knack for long free flowing hardware jam sessions, that traversed the whole spectrum of electronic dance music from dark, industrial-tinged techno to classic motor city electro and italo disco-appreciating euphoria. In addition to his work as one half of CYRK, Pascal Hetzel continues to make a name for himself as a solo artist. His sound is deeply influenced by Detroit techno’s rich legacy. His first release on Juan Atkins’ groundbreaking Metroplex label that got released in June 2025, marks another milestone in his career. It’s his first solo release since his EP on another Detroit-based label: Interdimensional Transmissions’ sub-label Eye Teeth and his solo-album on the Belgian label Arkham Audio. Rest assured, there is more to come, both with CYRK and as a solo artist.
