They have a wide range of activities hopefully to interest and enthuse all ages and standards of photographers.  They aim to provide members with the opportunity to improve their photographic skills and appreciation.
Their activities include:
•	Presentations - talks by professional speakers on a wide selection of topics
•	Workshops - informal, interactive sessions to expand knowledge and skills
•	Internal and external competitions - both prints and projected digital images
•	Exhibitions - they support a number of exhibitions of members' work both in and around Newbury
•	Projects Group - support and encouragement for personal projects, presentations and Distinctions
•	Social events - a number of events take place throughout the year
Visitors are always welcome. Visitor Entrance Fee £5.00 on the door.
Come along for up to 3 nights for £5.00 each visit. If you decide to join thenthis will be deducted from your joining fee.

Paul Presents The Pottery with Andrew Hazelden This week Paul chats to Andrew Hazelden. Andrew studied ceramics at the Epsom School of Art and Design and has worked with renowned ceramicists Mary Wondrausch and Alan Caiger-Smith. He learned the technique of tin glaze earthenware and reduction fired lustre at the Aldermaston Pottery in Berkshire, which he joined in 1984. An amazing tale of learning the trade, living on a narrowboat, to staring his own business, the Pottery at Hewins Wood- just Another Day in Paradise really.

Paul Presents Friends of Newtown Rd Cemetery with Roz Clow. 
The Friends were set up in association with Newbury Town Council to help restore the cemetery to its former glory after it was closed in 2000 on health and safety grounds. In the subsequent years, the Friends have undertaken may tasks including assisting with nature surveys and providing information and pictures for display boards.
We are also undertaking a full memorial recording programme to ensure that the information on all the memorials is preserved on the web site where everyone can access it.
Our History Research Group is actively searching through old documents and certificates to try and find out as much as possible about every single person buried there.

Helen is the young carer project worker for West Berkshire Council.
Young carers are children and young people under 18 who take on caring tasks and responsibilities within their family that most of us only do as adults.
The term does not apply to the everyday and occasional help around the home that may often be expected of children in families.
The person you care for could be a parent, grandparent, a brother, sister or a family friend.

The person you look after may have a physical disability, a progressive disease, a mental health difficulty or a substance misuse problem.

It can be rewarding to care and help your family cope, but you should still be able to relax and have some fun, which is what West Berkshire's Young Carers Project is all about.

Paul Presents Newbury RDA with Lucy Atherton

This week on Paul Presents Paul Chats to Lucy about Newbury Riding for the Disabled (RDA) and her role a as Trustee Lucy became a Trustee in 2023 and in September 2024 she took over as Chair of the Trustee’s Lucy grew up riding and volunteered for the RDA whilst at school. Also she is a keen supporter of equine therapy charities.
 Newbury Riding for the Disabled (RDA) is a Group of the national RDA charitable organisation.They are a self-supporting voluntary organisation dedicated to enabling local children with special needs improve their physical and emotional wellbeing through riding horses. Over 60 children ride with them at Wyld Court in Hampstead Norreys each week during term time.

 Paul has been broadcasting for 40 years and despite the challenges being disabled may cause, he has continued his love of broadcasting and produces a popular weekly podcast.
