Perc Trax opens up a new chapter in its history as techno's comeback king Steve Redhead delivers the first release on the label's One Track series.

In an industry flooded with a constant stream of various artists compilations the Perc Trax One Track series turns things on their head with the label putting its entire focus on a single track from one producer, with each producer giving their absolute best to Perc Trax.

Steve Redhead is currently leading the charge of resurgence of groove based percussive techno with releases on Mutual Rytm, Marcel Fengler's Index label, KYSH, Frenzy and many more. Years of production experience have led his music to a place where it perfectly mixes cutting edge sound design with classic techno rhythms.

✈ To celebrate this new episode, we are proud and delighted to welcome British-New Zealand DJ, producer : KEEPSAKES

Keepsakes, the alias of British-New Zealand producer and DJ James Barrett, has been a strong and distinctive voice in techno since rising to fame through his Stygian Concrete Works and Weapons Grade Manic EPs back in 2014. Since then he has showcased his powerful and menacing, yet often cheeky and playful, productions on influential labels including Boys Noize Records, Turbo Recordings, KAOS/OAKS, Perc Trax, South London Analogue Material, MORD, and Earwiggle.

Furthermore, he founded the Haven club night alongside Jaded Nineties Raver in Tāmaki Maraukau, Aotearoa (Auckland, New Zealand) in 2015 - aiming to introduce clubbers to the experimental and harder side of techno in a city completely devoid of this music. In 2018 Haven also expanded into a vinyl-focused record label - going on to release many leading international artists including VTSS, Tommy Holohan, New Frames, Peder Mannerfelt, Ayarcana, Ansome, and Ryan James Ford, as well as becoming the main home for Barrett’s own productions.

Now located in Ōtautahi, Aotearoa (Christchurch, New Zealand) - following several years living in Berlin hitting the European club circuit - he is focused on bringing his tough and eclectic sound to dance floors worldwide, with regular appearances at international techno institutions providing a platform for his formidable DJ sets.

Perc Trax's one track series returns with the debut release on the label from Italian techno legend Luciano Esse.

'Tu Mancha' is a modernist take on classic 'Waveform Transmission' era Jeff Mills. Built on a relentless machine groove, 'Tu Mancha' sets out its sound from the first kick drum and powers forward for four and half glorious minutes.

'Tu Mancha' is the second release in Perc Trax's one track series following Steve Redhead's hardgroove classic 'Running In Circles'.

'How Much Can You Take?' by Scotland's The Obsessed is proper old skool hard techno. Driving kicks, buzz saw synths that slice through any soundsystem and a vocal hook that doesn't make you cringe for the next week after you appear on Instagram raving to it.

The closing track of Perc's sets since he received the demo from The Obsessed late last year, now 'How Much Can You Take?' is ready to be unleashed as the third in Perc Trax's renowned one track series, following releases from Steve Redhead and Luciano Esse.

Georgia's Clinical Hates joins Perc Trax for the fourth in the label's one track series. 'Real My Name' has been a key feature of Perc's sets for months now and is a perfect example of the Clinical Hates sound, tough yet precise, with power but also grace. 

Revolving around Clinical Hates trademark use of cut up vocal samples along with a twisting arrangement that never fails to move the dance floor.
