"Wired Beats" is a collection of nine percussion ensembles written for two or more beginning to intermediate players. Utilizing the standard beginning percussion kit, these ensembles incorporate playing on the drum pad, pad rim, parts of the stand, and even the floor. Rhythms, sticking patterns, and special effects combine with accompaniment tracks to create fun yet challenging pieces designed to engage and develop young percussionists and may be used for both practice and performance.

"re: Impressions" is a groovy percussion septet for 5 keyboards, drum set, and 1 multi-percussionist that is influenced instruments, styles, and sounds that feel most "at home" with the composer.

"Hexachron" channels the raw energy and intricate architecture of progressive metal through the lens of chamber percussion ensemble. While the bulk of the piece is written in 6/4, that meter is rarely felt straight-ahead. Instead, it’s refracted through layered polyrhythms, rhythmic illusions, and constantly shifting subdivisions that destabilize the listener’s sense of time - yet somehow regularly lock into a groove that feels instinctively right.

Hexachron (Percussion Sextet) - Matt Moore

"Tilt" is a dynamic percussion octet that features a stereophonic setup of two percussion quartets “tilting” the musical ideas between sides of the stage. All eight players play (and share) both pitched and non-pitched instruments.

Three Laughs (perc ens 10-14) - Arthur Lipner

This intermediate work for 7-8 percussionists tells the story of Theseus’s ship as it approaches harbor and repairs begin. As you strip away broken parts and replace with new ones, the story of the ships’ adventures are told. Once the repairs are completed the ship sails away ready for its next adventure.
