Ethan is a 37-year-old astrophysicist working for a research organization in New York. With a geeky interest in international cultures, Ethan has always been drawn to exploring the unknown. He’s been a podcast enthusiast for years and has a knack for blending scientific facts with casual conversation, which he believes brings depth to both comedy and science.

Interest in Stand-Up Sweden:
Ethan first became interested in Swedish stand-up after stumbling upon a few comedians on YouTube. He was fascinated by how Swedish humor combines absurdism with social commentary in a way he hadn’t seen before. Curious about how humor acts as a sort of cultural translation, he was hooked on the idea of how even complex topics like astrophysics could be made accessible through laughter.

Maya is a 34-year-old freelance cultural journalist with a strong passion for arts and comedy. Her background in reporting on various cultural phenomena has given her a broad understanding of how comedy functions as a social tool. She has an eye for the way humor reflects societal changes and has written extensively on the political and artistic aspects of comedy.
