Persistence

Starting off with a mellow percussion intro, the piece flows on a simple melody that maintains the feel. Layers of strings, piano, guitar, and cellos continue to build strength, supporting the melody until the dramatic conclusion.

CARRY ON STILL

Starting from a melodic motif that is repeated in ostinato, the harmonies create different climates and atmospheres, different emotional intensities. The spheres rotate persistently, interrupting speeches and phrases at will. The constant rhythm gives no respite.

Scripture Talk "Your Answered Prayer is in your Persistent Pursuit"

This third movement performed at MMF 2024 explores group adoption of evil ideas.
The tubular bells introduce the rhythms of 2 dictators’ speech rhythms, one from the 1920’s to 1940’s (in his rile-them-up cadences, not his regular speaking voice) and the other from 2016 to present (Tremendous; Very Bad, Lock Them Up).  The other instruments (oboe, bassoon, piano, and cello) and at times the harp, alternate between their own tunes, protest themes, and the martial rhythms of the sample dictators’ speeches.  There are 2 different protest songs (a Yiddish melody from Es Brent, by Mordechai Gebirtig, used as a protest during Hitler’s persecution and extermination of Jews and other groups, and “We Shall Overcome” from the Civil Rights movement in the US, and reused in modern times).  The snare drum alternating with the bells creates an underlying militancy.  Later in the piece, the protest songs are played in the speech rhythms and a martial rhythm to signify the capture and mocking caricature of them by the oppressors (often with a sliver of freedom symbolized by themes played in their original rhythm by bassoon or others).   Tempo changes and more complex interweavings depict the increasing chaos and confusion.  The movement ends quietly, with the original tunes of oboe, bassoon, and cello and echo of dictator-speak or is it a protest?

"We can make it if we try" is the second single from CMD+JAZMINE's upcoming second album, You're not in trouble.

Written largely over the spring of 2025, her second project explores deeper club sounds, after a year of multiple single and EP releases, while holding onto her decade-long roots as a narrative documentary producer and sound designer. Her love of low-end thump remains, as the story of a shifting life unfolds over eight songs.

You're not in trouble trades in the computerized metaphors and dubbed disassociation of previous records towards a directness inspired by dancefloor vulnerability and deep conversation in club booths. Vocal samples and lyrics atmospherically shimmer over shifting drum patterns that range from "Disrespect"'s jungle breaks, the Jersey club bounce of "Escape hatch", and ballroom's skitter on "Seeking affection". The hard techno catharsis from "We can make it if we try" gives way to the sunrise of the second half of the album. "Origami" shines in trance and bright electronica, while "Finding footing in the chaos" is one last kick drum frenzy before heading to coat check. "Crimson" is a deep inhale of fresh air through gritted teeth and wobbly synthesizers, and closer "You can come back to my place if you want...?" is a deep, burning slow jam that slinks with muted drums and warm pads.

You're not in trouble is a journey of emotions that come from the club, and the personal reflection when you get home, deeply looking in the mirror as you put on a face mask.

Intro:) Lady ElectroTrek is an artist of varying fields... who doesn't feel like she can be crammed into one genre. She creates where she feels the spirit of the moment takes her.../' Lady ElectroTrek has done live choir performances, even had an experience with TV group performance. ElectroTrek has been on radio, different stations--won an award out of Chicago, & received a radio artist plaque for her efforts. ElectroTrek has won group trophy for best in regional singing. ElectroTrek was asked to be a select member of 8 singers called: "The Pantherettes" as a freshman.
ElectroTrek grew up knowing she had a desire to sing, but never anticipated that she would one day take part in a burgeoning exploration of creativity within the instrumental field.
Electrotrek first learned how to play the flute recorder, while attending a private school & studying under a German teacher. Arthur was her teacher, & later saved her life from freezing to death in the snow, when her stepfather 'conveniently' forgot to pick her up & left her there while he was in another town away from where she was going to school & she was left outside until past 8:00 o'clock at night as a middle school child. No cell phones back then, & no money was given her for in case of emergency. The fact that she has survived many abusive encounters, is indeed a miracle in itself.
ElectroTrek has taken flute classes with a popular YouTube teacher from Utah. She has a Sterling flute imported from Australia.
ElectroTrek studied some guitar underneath an aunt of hers who was a Music Major & a music shop owner. Although she never bought instruments from that aunt's shop, due to her relocating over 1500 miles away.
ElectroTrek took piano lessons with a German piano teacher who was very strict to the point that he would hit her hands with a solid wood ruler that had a metal edge & left her hands stinging. Told her that her homework from school was not as important as the piano & demand her to cut her nails off, though they were only moderately grown out. She later switched to a teacher by the last name of Miller, but that proved to only bore & be drawn out to the point of ridiculousness, & only seemed as if paying for lessons but not allowed to progress became evident of being taken advantage of. She then found solace & understanding under her stepfather's brother's wife's teaching.
From there she began to gather tidbits from reaching out to several high-end Professionals & has expanded on trying many new things.
Her life is a story of working against constant odds & mistreatment & she can hold her head with dignity. She has earned her right to be treated as an equal & not cut in half & projected upon by predatory narcissists. Assertiveness is her right to maintaining her boundaries.
ElectroTrek has been involved in many things outside of music as an altruistic activist & rights advocate...& signed many petitions to prevent cruelty & abuse.
An Indian photographer once nominated Lady ElectroTrek for a Nobel Peace Prize on a public forum for her voluntary commitment & diligent work to protect underage models against human trafficking.

FYI: Answer the Q: :D NO I'm NOT a robot! Robots don't wear expensive perfume, have a social security number, have a driver's license issued to them, & have blue, aqua or green veins. Robots do not have menstrual cycles nor experience Amenorrhea--which I have... & do not have one of the rarest eye colors--I do. Robots don't get goosebumps when getting cold. Robots do not get hypothermia--I went on a White Water Rapids trip in Hell's Canyon --My boat flipped over & was suspended in mid air for what seemed like 45 seconds before it capsized. I survived being drug up a steep cliff, with my hips & legs temporarily paralyzed & my lips had turned purple due to lack of oxygen & severe cold in the month of September. So a nurse, the guide & his dad & his daughter saved me from freezing to death. Stripped me down to just my panties & saw my naked natural tits & got me in a sleeping bag & the two women got inside stripped down to generate body heat to revive me. Robots don't go through that--I'm 101% HUMAN. So enough of your needless assumptions & projections. I play Piano, Guitar/Electric guitar, Harmonica, Flute Recorder, Synth, Pan Flute & Drums, I sing, write, compose, won award for a Comic-Con Convention contest for being an all in one package deal>> digital artist, model, music, & concept. etc. Don't hate me because I have times where I can create faster than you. Don't hate me because I'm from European bloodline but live in America. I have causes I support & I stand up to those taking advantage of others.
The American Red Cross has certified me as having a rare blood type---They or their needles withdrawing the blood don't lie...I have given blood before.

⁂About love: It is utter nonsense to leave the generalization that if you give love, you get love in return. It is simply NOT true... When I look at abused children who have been entrapped within the confines of circumstances, all the love in the world doesn't STOP the abuser from seeing things in a perspective that will harness his faults he fails to identify.
⁂Some experiments may fail, but if we never tried, then we would not be moved to join on a path of something better...Why should there be shame? ⁂Experience can bring evolutionary changes. (Food for thought:)

I have been studying music in Barcelona since I was six, specializing in piano. Beginning with my dealings with the world of amateur theater, especially of the musical variety, and given my performances as a pianist in recitals, concerts, and musical theater, the need to compose and arrange music arose. Little by little my passion took shape and gained importance in my life. In 2011 I composed some songs for the soundtrack of the Gayxample web series. The internet gives me the opportunity to feel free, inspired and stimulated to compose new works which come from my intuition as I keep integrating countless music styles that are part of my artistic and musical background. 
Estudio musica desde mi infancia en Barcelona, especializandome en piano. A partir de mi contacto con el mundo del teatro amateur, especialmente musical, y con mis interpretaciones como pianista en recitales, conciertos y teatro musical, surgio la necesidad de componer y arreglar musica. Poco a poco mi pasion por la musica ha ido tomando forma e importancia. En 2011 compuse algunos temas para la banda sonora de la serie web Gayxample. Internet me ofrece la oportunidad de sentirme libre, inspirado y estimulado a componer nuevos temas que surgen de la intuicion y de la asimilacion de un sinfin de estilos musicales que forman parte de mi bagaje musical y artistico.
