This piece was written in response to a prompt put out by composer Peter Broderick and was released on a project of his. The piece was written in 2010 while I was a college student. I wrote much of it while not paying attention in a literature class I was less than enthralled by.

'We Are Rivers' is the conclusion of 'Imaginary Journeys'. It is a metaphorical hike with Jim Harrison, where poetry, spirit, and nature drown in music.

Talk Talk, aquella banda que en la primera mitad de los años 80 hacía un pop de sintetizadores similar al de otras bandas contemporáneas de dudoso gusto y que, álbum a álbum, fue experimentando una de las metamorfosis más asombrosas que se han vivido en la historia de la música, hasta firmar dos de esos discos imprescindibles que no deben faltar en la estantería o disco duro de nadie. 

Repasamos la historia de la banda siguiendo los pasos de su cerebro, Mark Hollis, un tipo con una enorme cultura musical y que tras triunfar con su banda en el mundo del pop mainstream, hizo un monumental 'middle finger' a la industria y se dedicó a hacer la música que realmente le interesaba. 

En este programa además de pop tendremos rock, kraut-rock, jazz, folk, ambient, post-rock y clásica, con artistas como Neu!, Miles Davis, King Creosote & Jon Hopkins, Bark Psychosis o Nils Frahm, aparte por supuesto de los principales protagonistas, los Talk Talk de Mark Hollis, quien nos dejó hace ya 5 años por estas fechas y a quien le rendimos nuestro humilde homenaje con este programa.
