The M.A. Gedney Pickling Company was established in Minneapolis in 1881 by a man named Matthias Gedney. The Gedney Company contracted with hundreds of Minnesota farmers to grow the cucumbers used for their pickle products. Many of the farmers, in turn, ended up paying their children to pick the cucumbers as part of their summer chores, using the money to pay for school clothes and other needed items for the family. 

In the later 20th century, the Gedney Company identified itself as the Minnesota Pickle. The company partnered with the Minnesota State Fair to market it’s “State Fair” Pickle line, taking winning recipes from the Fair and selling them in stores. In this episode, Jeff and Carl Tuttle, 5th generation descendants of the company founder, tell the story of the M. A. Gedney PIckling Company.

When the sun is shining this brightly in the London sky, Paul and Eli refuse to stay cooped up inside CheapShow HQ… So, they are out and about (yes again!) to go on an aimless wander through another corner of London. This time they’ve decided, for no good reason, to explore Nunhead Cemetery, one of London’s “Magnificent 7” cemeteries. It’s a gothic, spooky, heavily wooded area packed with tombs, crypts, gravestones and unusually named deceased folk. As they stroll about, they’ll aim to be respectful but at some point, Eli will want to get the booze out and Paul will want to get the hell out of the place… And once they reach Peckham Rye Common, things will get a little bit more unhinged. In possibly one of CheapShow’s more directionless walkabout episodes, join the Cheap Chaps on one of the warmest and sunniest days of the year… in a ruddy graveyard!

This track was a big change of pace for me. It isn't the genre that I'd usually make, but I love it regardless. Its surprisingly well put together for something I'd never made before.
It was made to make the listener feel as if they're a pickle floating around in vinegar!

C0D3BREAKER - No Pickles [FREE DOWNLOAD]

Episode 450 was a big success and Eli and Paul celebrated accordingly. Until they didn’t. Following the live stream party, Paul went way too far with the drinking and is now suffering terribly. This means that the only person driving the podcast this week is Eli, so that means Paul is going to have to suffer through another indignity of Eli’s episode manifesto. As a result, it’s going to be a sauce and snack heavy themed podcast, which maybe isn’t the best course of action for a host who feels deathly ill and nauseous. However, there is one curious note to mention… Does Paul being ill make him a better podcaster? Or is episode going to land near the bottom of “worst episodes ever” lists? We guess you will have to listen to find out!
