Born and raised in Switzerland, he moved to Playa Venao in Panama, and found solace and passion in the realm of music production. 
His expressions revolves around electronic music, where he blends ambient, tribal, jazz, electronic and house influences into a distinctive and experimental sound.
In 2023, Boris embarked on a fascinating journey, delving into the study of plant frequency waves. This exploration led him to incorporate the enchanting and cosmic sounds of plants into his music, adding an ethereal dimension to his already mesmerizing compositions. AYO is the solo project of danish composer, producer and sound artist Julie Schønherr Rosengreen.
AYO has been touring all over Europe since 2015. She has been playing in Morocco and The United States.
Some of the festivals she performed at includes Boom Festival, Ozora Festival, Freqs of Nature festival, Anthropos, Hadra and The Rendezvous - Tipper&Friends in Florida.
She has been performing for The Danish National Bank, at the beautiful Thorvaldsens Museum in Copenhagen, composed music for the theater play “Anna Walk With Me” and currently she is working both with installation art and performance art, making interactive and generative sound with plants, water and the human body. 
In 2020 she released her debut album Moto on Sofa Beats records. This was followed by several single & compilation releases on labels like Microcosmos records, Altar records and the danish female label SØNTH collective.
Her second album is soon due for release.

AYO strives to send a message of a more harmonious cohesion with nature, with each other and with ourselves. By incorporating nature elements into her performance, she tries to give nature back the voice it has lost. Giving the listener a chance to emphasise with it, by letting plants and water generate the sounds they hear, in an always evolving and generative pattern, which makes every performance new and unique.
Combining that with playing live hardware synths and her classical influenced compositions, the listener is presented with an experience of nature meeting electronics and the deeper emotional self -floating in to a world of dreamy and melodic soundscapes, dynamic pads, processed foleys and recorded ambience.
AYO has been playing and composing music since she was a child. With a background as a violinist and as a classical musician, the ambient genre was later a place where she felt at home and where she could express and unfold herself freely. 
She has a bachelor degree in electronic music and sound art from The Danish National Academy of Music. Here she has honed her expression and further developed her "voice" in order to be able to stand stronger with her message and vision.
