Burning Man 2023 Sunrise From The Golden Gate

My first big set in a club was an absolutely incredible and personal experience that was all about having fun and enjoying myself. I want to share this recording with you to bring some lightness into your day and uplift your mood. Once you immerse yourself in the opening sound, which was played after a sunny day, you'll be transported to an energetic and vibrant atmosphere. 

But that's not all! Get ready for the second recording of the closing set, which promises to deliver an even more deep and vibrant listening experience.

I’m thrilled to share this live set from Burning Man 2024, recorded at the magical Caravan of Light camp. This place is more than just a camp—it’s an esoteric sanctuary where art, mysticism, and music fuse into one. 

What made this set truly special was the incredible partnership with Mobius Acoustics, a custom-made sound system that’s hands down one of the best I’ve ever experienced on the playa. The clarity and depth of the sound transformed every beat into a powerful, immersive journey, resonating with the sacred energy of Black Rock City. 

This set reflects that magic—deep, groovy, and full of playa spirit. I hope it transports you to that mystical space as it did for me.

Every love story deserves its anthem, and this set is mine. From the moment our souls met and ignited a powerful fire, as if the universe had planned it, to the sweet surrender of love’s embrace, this journey of sound captures it all. Along the way, healing flows like an oasis in the desert - giving, receiving, and reflecting the infinite strength and potential we all carry within.

This is a celebration of connection, of finding someone who mirrors your light and fuels your dreams. It is about being exactly where you’re meant to be, carrying love and energy that transcends time and space. How beautiful it is to dance in that light, in the timeless rhythm of love.

With beats starting at 107.77 BPM and building to 127.77, this set captures a surge of emotions and ends in a melodic burst of joy and passion. Playing from my heart on the Tanit stage "the goddess of fertility" at Sharamania Festival in the Sahara desert made this moment unforgettable. The sands, the sunset, the love - everything aligned. Grateful beyond words.

Afrikaburn's last sunrise and a week in the desert came to a dreamy closing with this sunrise set I had the honor to play in the middle of the playa, aboard Appa, the big fluffy artcar.

This set carries a lot of emotions. I was happy and tired, ecstatic and empty, but above all, grateful for one of the most magical weeks spent at Afrikaburn. This set is meant to contrast the energetic, punchy, bouncy and playful side of the music I had played in the events prior. It's the soft landing we needed at that exact time.

And then, Appa rode off into the sunrise with us (you) on top, and we silently watched the burning of "Scratch", the magical sphere that held so many untold things. 

So I'll let the music do the talking.



Thank you to the beautiful crowd aboard Appa, to the organization, and to everyone at Afrikaburn that I had the chance to hug and dance with.

With over 25 years behind the decks, Johnno Lazetich — better known as The Rhino — is a dynamic force in the global underground house music scene.
