In collaboration with Microsoft Studios for the release of the critically acclaimed game Forza Horizon 4 for Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs, drum and bass tastemakers Hospital Records is releasing a first ever exclusive and bespoke soundtrack for the game.

Featuring as an in-game radio station in a Forza Horizon game for the third time, Hospital Records now also presents 20 exclusive and original tracks produced solely for Forza Horizon 4. The in-game unlockable Hospital Records radio station is hosted by label co-founders Tony Colman (London Elektricity) and Chris Goss, with featured artists including Metrik, Fred V & Grafix, Etherwood, S.P.Y, Logistics, London Elektricity, Kings Of The Rollers and more, available exclusively in the ‘Forza Horizon 4: Hospital Soundtrack’.

Forza Horizon 4 is currently available in the Ultimate Edition and will be available worldwide on Oct. 2. The full soundtrack will be available digitally and on streaming platforms on the 26th of October, with 6 tracks being cut especially for a limited edition vinyl release.

After featuring on a variety of Hospital Records compilations, Romanian-born Polaris has unveiled a 4-track EP showcasing his unique use of atmospherics and full-throttle drum & bass style.

‘Kessel Run’, with its nod to his favourite Star Wars saga, is a dose of trailblazing energy. It’s celebratory horn work, energetic frequencies and punchy percussion give a warming vintage feel and make for a truly inspiring lead track on the EP.

As an avid gamer, Polaris brings intergalactic soundscapes across ‘Prismatic Gate’ for a futuristic electronic beat. Complex drum work and ambient pads lay the foundations for the timeless liquid number ‘Receiver’, juxtaposed by ‘Relic’, an intelligent space-age stepper that’s light years ahead of its time.

Arnauld Stengel, also known as Polaris is a producer of the Psytrance scene who released his first track on the legendary French label 3D Vision Records in 2001 and has never looked back since; retaining his unique cutting edge style that defined him as a perfectionist artist since over two decades. Polaris has released three full studio albums on famous Neurobiotic Records label, as well as numerous other compilation and EP releases with several of the world's most respected psychedelic trance labels. He has played at many of the largest festivals and renowned clubs around the world. At the end of the first decade of the new millennium the influence of contemporary club music on the Psy Trance scene is omnipresent: More and more producers from all the different corners of this style take up elements from Minimal and Techno. Others turn to very poppy melodies which unfortunately has a negative impact on the psychedelic deepness of the music. In this situation Solar Tech Records very consciously defines itself as an innovative platform for classical Psy Trance sounds in 2008. Without peering at recent trends, label founder DJ Natron is engaged in keeping up and promoting the original idea of this music. The result is driving dance music with a proper dose of thrill and piles of deep and psychedelic moments but without getting poppy, kitschy or hectic at any time. Laugi aka Natron gathered lots of experience not only as a long-year DJ but also as promoter of the popular Hamburg-based party series “Intact Expanda” and therefore developed a sophisticated feeling for the vibe of the scene. Solar Tech’s sound refers to new generation of artists that unites its local influences of the Trance hot spots South Africa, the UK, South America and Hamburg to an ever exciting and refreshing new mixture: Pushing dance music which makes your feet dancing and your mind floating in the club as well as on a sunlit dance floor of an open air festival!

While Toronto has long been known for the grittier side of drum-n-bass music, the Romanian-born, classically trained Polaris brings an altogether different sound to the fore. At once melancholy and hopeful, jubilant and wistful, he has forged a musical identity that elevates drum-n-bass on a cinematic scale. After rising in the ranks of the Toronto DnB scene, he entered the global awareness in 2016 in grand fashion. His fruitful creative partnership with fellow Torontonian, Schematic, would see the release of their “NBD” on Inner City Dance, and “Please Don’t” and “Bring the Heat” on Technique Recordings, which also released his collaboration with Stranjah, “Aquarius”. Hospital Records came knocking as well, putting two Polaris tracks on their “Future Sound of Canada” EP, his goose bump-inducing stormer with Schematic, “Conduit”, and his own “The Light In Your Eyes”, which would go on to be voted one of the top ten Hospital tracks of 2016. To cap off the year, Med School included his “Found You” on their “New Blood 2016 LP”. He would link up with Schematic again on the Technique “Summer 2017” LP with “So Long”, as well as a pair of tracks in 2018, “City Life” on Inner City Dance, and “Sculpture” on Hospital’s “Sick Music 2018” LP. The label also released the majestic Polaris tune, “Blue Sky Thinking” on the “Hospitality in the Park 2018” LP, as well as two tunes for their soundtrack to the video game Forza Horizon, “Lessons Learned”, and “Empire”. Now hard at work on a solo EP, fans of lush, evocative drum-n-bass have much to anticipate in the next year and beyond.
