Mistical World Attack is the annihilation of the globe! It's the sound of the Demonic Industrial Machine crushing the fucking planet!

THE RHYTHMIC VIRUS: A brutal fusion where Industrial Metal clashes with 6 continents of ancestral fury! Listen to the Taiko (Japan) and the Cajón (Flamenco) battling against the Steel Pistons!

THE ATTACK: Each track is an attack. From Ancestral Fire (Africa/Jalikunda) to the Chainsaw Scream (Japan) and the Iron Fist (Final Rite). Noise is our language! Pain is our rhythm!

THE MISSION: This album was forged to spread the virus! To cause a GLITCH in "clean" systems and crash the platform! Let the virus in! Let the system crash!

A collection of explorations in odd time signatures and polyrhythmic grooves, my favorite type to write and listen too!

The drums from "A Dangerous Group" is heavily influenced by the beat near the end of the song "Eulogy" by Tool. Which I made as a backing track for a guitarist to riff over (I may repost if he wants to be on here or link to his socials if he wants to post it there)

The song "Time and Space" features a 7/8 time signature with the high-hat playing ever other beat in a two measure phrase (First measure is on beats 1-3-5-7 and on the second measure 2-4-6) creating a smoother feel to the song called an "override" which I learned from listening to Porcupine Tree and watching videos of the drummer Gavin Harrison

"Three Fourths" and "Four Thirds" have various phrases of 3's and 4's playing at the same time, meeting up every 12th beat. Sometimes the drums are in 3's and sometimes the bass is in 4's and vice-versa sometimes they alternate giving it a feeling of pulling apart, then coming back together.

He laid down these wonderful ambient textures as a canvas to build on, then it took me 2 months to figure out how to take this sense of movement and progression and elevate it. I've been experimenting a lot with low-pass gates as a way to make rhythmic elements from drones and textures and this was natural way to build up this piece, by processing the source materials in multiple ways - rhythmically, through resonation, harmonization, and a little distortion. 

The pulse track took so many takes to get the balance of punch and motion without overloading everything else.

Walton, by mezzo-soprano Julia Cavallaro and fellow students at the Tufts Composers New at Noon concert event "Radio Global Kandahar: Afghan Memory Leaves Sounded with Sola Mahfouz," November 21, 2025. Composed for voice, two violins, and percussion (involving audience participation) in alternating 6/8 and 3/4 time.
