My Funny Valentine

This is a song inspired by the film "Starship Troopers" and the lines expressed by Jean Rasczak (played by Michael Ironside) and Johnny Rico (played by Casper Van Dien), "Come on, you apes! You wanna live forever?"

The song opens with a commanding call—“Hey, you monkeys, dance in the void”—immediately pulling listeners into a surreal battlefield where shadows reign and destruction becomes both terrifying and liberating.

I wrote “Come to Sol” as an invitation — a call to return to the warmth that connects us all. The song was co-created with AI, but what emerged feels deeply human: a pop-synth anthem that moves with the rhythm of the solar system and the pulse of the heart.

My name is Nick Myer.  I'm a PRS and PPL member songwriter and I love to create words melody & music.   I also produce my own songs that usually feature very talented female vocal artists.  I  sometimes sing my own songs. I never feature AI singers thus I don't support the AI agenda that seeks to takeover human creativity and talents mostly via plagiarism it seems which I am greatly opposed to.  Thus I explicitly do not permit any AI training to be carried out on my original copyright protected songs.  I value my intellectual property therefore I will relentlessly protect it and pursue any breaches of it.  Anyway....
This is a small showcase of many original songs I have composed, recorded & produced for various projects of mine.  I was formerly an exclusively signed songwriter for a small independent publisher/ record label owned by the successful Producer Ben Findon, a long time ago. and had one co-written release called French Nites by artist Judy High. SINCERE IMPOSTER is an intimate collection of artists exploring a curious mixture of New Wave, Dance, EDM, Folk Rock, Metal, Art Pop, Electro, Dreamwave, and Experimental World Pop. Collectively, this is known as QUIRKPOP — music that pushes the creative limits of traditional pop.

Expect an unpredictable journey through sound, emotion, and humor, where genres collide and pop bends in strange new ways. Each song is conceived, composed, and performed with total sincerity, whether it’s built from voices, instruments, software, or hybrid experimentation. SINCERE IMPOSTER is curated by two musicians, both living within the same body, sharing a singular existence. They identify as Danielle & Dave. They are both psychologically and musically confused, yet extremely and unapologetically sincere.

Influences range from Weird Al and Nathan Fielder to David Lynch, Rosalia, Monatik, Atarashii Gakko!, Rammstein, T-Pain, and T-Swift. 

Danielle & Dave’s favorite inventions include the vacuum and the peach pitter. Their father is simply known as Vessel… who may be an entity or a god.
