There's this really charming, as the video calls it, montage someone made using Valve video game voice lines inter-spliced into the song Exile Vilify by The National that I would love to share. This montage was made in 2011 it's a beautiful version of this song that, to me personally, is the best way to listen to the song. the visuals on it are amazing to boot. This track is a hybrid of the general mood of (and a from-scratch beat based upon) Portal 1's OST "You're Not A Good Person," coupled with Portal 2's OST "An Accent Beyond," which I felt had a similar feel to it. I've made this more rock and metal-esque due to the place "You're Not A Good Person" comes from in Portal 1. I'll leave that lower in the description, because it's a spoiler for those who haven't played!

====[ BELOW BE SPOILERS ]====
"You're Not A Good Person" plays in the piston-floor room in Portal 1, during the escape sequence, where the pistons open up and drop the player into a room with a few turrets. It's a trap room and perhaps one of the more memorable moments due to the intensity of the original music. I'm hoping to eventually remake that scene with a "unified" approach that brings it more in line with Portal 2's general aesthetics, and with more turrets to boot.

I'm hoping that the general mood and feel of this track helps capture what I'm going for and envisioning in my head ahead of time; it's still a work-in-progress though and there's no telling if I'll actually wind up doing anything with this long-term. That said, I hope you enjoy what I DO have here, even with any of its flaws.
