I was commissioned to compose a 15 minute track that could be used for breathwork exercises. I was inspired by the shamanic vibes of other breathwork tracks, so I wanted to capture something similar here. The idea was to code and assign inhales, exhales and breath holds to various sounds in the track (a chime, a short drum roll and a gong, respectively) so that there would be no need make a voice-over that would say "IN", "OUT", "HOLD". This track is also ideal as background music for those who do yoga and other forms of exercise due to its repetitiveness and its long form.

Sun breaths is a simple energizing breathing technique that is appropriate for everyone, especially beginners and those who have a hard time sitting still in their pranayama and meditation practice.

I was recently asked to create a composition to aid meditation. This is the result. Besides its artistic value, it also aids in regulating breathing. The gong strikes indicate the inhalation and exhalation, and the drum pulse counts the seconds. Five seconds for the inhalation and five seconds for the exhalation. The composition lasts an hour and is designed to be played on a loop. Enjoy.
