With Kommen, E-Gerät & Dan Celot present three original tracks that showcase their distinctive blend of analog warmth, subtle groove, and atmospheric depth. Spread across three releases, the EP draws from cosmic disco, minimal wave, and leftfield electronics —balancing introspection and dance floor energy throughout.

The title track opens the series with moody pads, rubbery synths, and filtered percussion. Echoed vocals and a deep, playful groove give the track a hypnotic yet grounded feel, setting the tone for what follows. Italienisch shifts gears into a smoother, mid-tempo flow. Shimmering synths and soft percussive details create a nostalgic atmosphere, wrapped in understated elegance and retro minimalism. When Hai Say Hello adds a playful detour—rhythmically loose, sonically rich, and full of quirks. Bouncing basslines and offbeat synth motifs bring lightness and surprise, expanding the duo’s sound with character and charm.

The remixes across the EP bring fresh perspectives: Prins Thomas stretches Kommen into a psychedelic voyage of arpeggios and cinematic tension, while Hysteric strips it down to a raw, Italo-driven core. This Sublime Saturdays at Gelato Cafe, we had our first guest who had their second tour. Josh Taylor was available in a pinch, and he showed up in force, with a posse in tow. The place was packed from the start, as Thomas FItzgerald cleaned up the runway for Josh to take us off into the sunset. Thomas worked with a higher BPM than normal and he whipped out a few digital tracks that he used to own on vinyl, so there was some familiarity happening. Josh soothed our souls with his caring lullaby of balearic sounds, Chill Out, and Deep House.

The sunset was one for the books. Gelato Vero has one of the best views of the sunset and the bay in San Diego, and their beverages, gelato, and treats can't be beat.

Manchester native Andi Hanley was for years one of the great things about NYC, charming, low-key, a great great DJ, he quietly was a graceful presence in the land of the overhyped and ego driven. For years Andi held down the music supervision for Rock Star games and was responsible for a lot of great music getting out to the gaming masses, Andi also was a vital member of Body and Soul, for years doing the warm up and setting the sound palette for Danny, FK, and Joe. Andi has since moved back to Manc, and is currently on the hunt for his own space to install his system and set up a proper party. (tell us when chief!) We are happy to have this great set from him, and we are also happy to have the great Disques Town drawing he did for us!

Prins Thomas, the man from Norway, has been DJ'ing producing and remixing at a steady pace since the late 90's. One of the more celebrated figures in contemporary dance music, T has come a long way from his start as a break dancer and musician in a range of bands. He runs several labels, most notably Full Pupp, has released several lps ( 2 solo, 2 with frequent collaborator Lindstrom ) has an extensive discography (understatement) and has been touring worldwide sharing extended dynamic sets that are an amalgamation of disco, house, cosmic, psychedelic and balearica. T is the biz, he keeps it deep, fresh and intimate. As you are reading this T is bringing his Orchestra - The Prins Thomas Orchestra - to Istambul for some live shows. Obsession Sessions IV: Grace & Ruin

Pastel Pagan threw down for us (and well) on the last Sublime Saturday at Gelato Vero for the season. We're so grateful she was available. I had a rare planned set, which is the first of three parts that I spliced and merged together to complete my last Obsession Session for a while, if ever again. Klaus Benedek grew up in a small town near Vienna. His interest in electronic music began during the 90s techno hype. He spent hours watching video clips on MTV and viva and thus gaining knowledge about electronic music. In 2004, he began teaching himself to produce. Gathering his inspiration wherever he could, he began collecting 12" vinyl records the same year and 2 years later got his first dj-gigs. From 2008 till 2010 he was one of the resident DJs at the MNML Thursdays in the Camera Club. In 2012 he started with Alex Kolodziej the event-series Tellerbetrieb. Currently he finds most of his inspiration in Chicago House, Deep House, Disco and Breakbeat. After releases on labels like Petrol Dollar, Subversaal, rekooda, Soul Shift Music, Clean and Dirty Recordings and tanzbar, Klaus launched his own label forTunea in 2014.

Mixing since my young age. I always liked techno and house the most.  Big fan of Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox and Jeff Mills. My mixes are well selected tracks over the years. Old stuff and new stuff. Maybe half of them allready played by Laurent !!! Enjoy !

As the son of a professional flamenco singer, Thomas has always been surrounded by music.  Exposure to flamenco influenced him because it has a dynamic range of emotions—from the "deep singing" style of cante hondo, to the more lively alegrias.  He has also worked in the corporate, independent, and online music industry for a number of years.  At one point he was a Content Manager for the Electronic Music genre at MP3.com, where he screened over 500 songs per day.  Exposure to a wide range of music explains the range of genres in his mixes—he uses whatever carries the mood.  From listening to Umm Kulthum's "Enta Omri" in his childhood, to New Wave and  Industrial as a teen, it became difficult for him to stick to one sound. Though vinyl was his original format of choice when he started in the 90s, the use of digital mixing has helped him better form soundscapes to expand your headspace.  Let him play with your moods for a spell.
