Writing for over 20 yrs and recording for over 15, there's been 2 albums, 6 mixtapes, and many more various and featured tracks w his name on them. Known for having his own sound and style that still directly reflects his Midwest background, BlitZ'em is also his own engineer in the studio and recently started designing all of his own graphics as well.

---- Bio ---
Self Proclaimed is a 4-piece alternative rock band from Sacramento, CA that formed in late 2008. The band was formed by Ethan Blankensop (vocs/guitar), Johnny Johnson(drums), and Nate Olsen(bass). After a lot of off and on practices, most of which never went very well, the three decided there was something missing. What ended up being the missing piece also ended up being a very important addition to the band. It was Matt Miramontes, Ethan's older brother and the newest member of Self Proclaimed playing lead guitar.

The four started practicing more often and trying to write more original material. After a while, for personal reasons, Nate decided he wanted to take a break from the music and focus on other things. He is the creator of the name and in that sense, will always be a part of Self Proclaimed. Wasting no time, Johnny, Ethan and Matt recruited Blake Harris. Blake was a good friend of all the members of the band and was at most of the practices anyway, so they thought, "Hey, what the hell ya know." Before then, Blake had never played the bass guitar but we were all determined to have him in this band. Practicing for hours on end and being up all night playing had eventually turned him in to a damn good bassist. This was a good thing for Self Proclaimed.

In early 2011 Self Proclaimed again lost a member to personal reasons and Johnny dropped out. Not knowing what to do they went on a hiatus untill they found a new drummer. Late July '11 Ethan got word from a coworker that he knows a drummer, hadn't seen him play before but knows that he does. He thought "Couldn't hurt to try him out, but I don't wanna get my hopes up" He soon Got in touch with Jeffery Williams and set up a meeting and showed him there old tracks. Jeff showed up and instantly blew them away! They knew they had there new drummer. Since then they have been constantly writing new material and revamping the old.They are now playing shows, and will soon be recording. Stay tuned and watch out for Self Proclaimed. They might be coming to a town near you..
