This beautiful and nostalgic piano piece was composed by the Portuguese composer António Fragoso (1897 - 1918). This piece, Aria, is the first of the "Three Pieces of the XIII Century". It is followed by a Minueto and ends with a Gavotte.
  
After recording this piece, it took me a while to figure out what image, footage or drawings could be a good illustration for this music... and then I imagined a landscape. I tried to digitally paint and animate this landscape and combine these two artistic expressions, music and painting, into a musical, delicate and nostalgic moment.  

I hope this brings some light into your day and that you enjoy it.

«ja budu vdoma na Rizdvo» - in Ukrainian it means “I’ll be home for Christmas”.

Christmas is a time when we all long to be with the people we love most. this melody was born during the first Christmas of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, a time when our sense of home was shaken.
Christmas is about traditions, hope, and the joy of being together. yet today, many are far from home, especially the brave soldiers fighting evil to protect us and keep safe.
i hold onto the hope that next Christmas, we will celebrate this holiday united, with every soldier reunited with their family after a hard-fought but glorious victory.
Christ is born! Glory to Ukraine and all our soldiers.
