“Swamp Fox” is a dark, cinematic metal–jazz fusion epic about Revolutionary War guerrilla legend Francis Marion. Dissonant saxophone, double‑kick blast beats, and crushing riffs collide with jazz syncopation, non‑retrogradable drum patterns, and anthemic power‑metal choruses.
Crab‑canon guitar and sax trade palindromic hooks, a 7/8 jazz‑fusion bridge erupts into neoclassical shred, and the lyrics march through ambushes, burning depots, and shattered Redcoat supply lines across the Carolina swamps.
For fans of progressive metal, jazz fusion, power metal, and historical concept tracks with saxophone and shred guitar.

Echoes of Light is an independent music producer who transforms emotion, memory, and real human experience into atmospheric, progressive and cinematic sound. The project was born during a period of deep personal loss, where music became a way to survive, to heal, and to give meaning to moments that words could no longer carry.

With roots in the classic hi-fi world of the 80s and 90s, and supported by formal training in sound engineering, Echoes of Light combines technical precision with emotional depth. Years of work in mixing through the Cambridge Music Technology program helped refine a unique approach to sound design — from controlling bleed in drum recordings to shaping immersive textures and expressive dynamics.

On the technical side, the project has been strongly informed by educators and engineers such as Dan Worrall and Mark Daniel Nelson, whose in-depth explanations of plugins, dynamics and mixing workflows helped shape a deeper understanding of modern audio. The creative inspiration itself, however, comes from within: from lived experience, personal dedication and a constant search for honest expression.

Musically, Echoes of Light blends progressive metal, atmospheric rock, and cinematic soundscapes, creating tracks that feel intimate, emotional, and expansive. Every composition carries a fragment of a story — a moment of truth captured in sound.

I'm a Producer from The Nederlands, i make all kind of styles of music (metal, pop, rock, jazz, prog, etc).
My musical origins are that of a vocalist and sound engineer. 
Along the way i picked up some more instruments that i started to play, and got bitten by the songwriting bug.

Crossing the Rubicon is a progressive instrumental band that fuses the intensity of metal with the fluidity of jazz and fusion. Founded by guitarist and composer Alejandro in Dayton, Ohio, the project began as a solo endeavor and has grown into a full ensemble defined by complex rhythms, soaring melodies, and the unmistakable voice of the saxophone within modern progressive soundscapes.

Since its early releases (Ascension, Bloom, Matter), the band has pushed boundaries with genre-bending compositions that combine the heaviness of Meshuggah, the harmonic sophistication of Plini, and the groove of Animals as Leaders. Along the way, Crossing the Rubicon has shared the stage with national acts such as Yngwie Malmsteen and earned recognition from publications including It Djents (now Everything Is Noise) and Prog Sphere.

After years of evolution, lineup changes, and experimentation, the group entered a new era in 2024 with a revitalized roster:

The record represents both a reinvention and a culmination of the band’s journey, exploring themes of transformation and identity through a progressive metal lens while blending influences from deathcore, funk, avant-garde jazz, and beyond into a cohesive sonic narrative.

With dynamic compositions that shift between technical precision and melodic introspection, Crossing the Rubicon creates music that is both cerebral and visceral. On SoundCloud, listeners can explore the band’s evolving catalog, from early epics like Bloom to the psychedelic explorations of Metempsychosis and the powerful new direction that defines their current era.
