My name is Alexander Teutler. I am a musician, composer, songwriter and arranger. I was born and raised in Crimea into a family of musicians.
 I was classically trained in Russia, where I earned my Master’s Degree in music. In my twenties, I formed a progressive/fusion rock group, The Second Half. The band toured and performed in many venues, including the first officially sanctioned rock festival in the Soviet Union. The band released an LP, “The Portrait," recorded with Melodia, a major record company in the Soviet Union. I also had the opportunity collaborate with the wonderful musicians of Moscow’s rock band, The Cardinal.
Under extraordinary circumstances during the collapse of the former USSR, I emigrated to the United States with my wife and daughter to begin a new life in a new land. Since then, my focus has been on writing music. As I continue mastering my craft, I also teach music for a living.
