These are instrumental tracks but they’re all conected by feeling, their names always come from how he felt when writing these songs or something that he remembered, as in Iron Slug and Rattlesnake, one being a memory of a game that he played in his childhood and the other being the association of the riffs with the snake movements and its rattle sound

After more than 15 years of not playing bass, I started playing again. The song is not in its final form, we don't have a vocalist, but I'm curious if you like the bass sound.  It's more of a test to see what I can get out of the effects (Origin and Darkglass effects) and Focusrite.
I recorded the bass with high compression ratio (10:1), 5.1ms Attack and 73ms Release, and real NY Style compression with full dry signal blend in.

I tried to do a little mastering, in the sense that I compressed and put an EQ, but I'm just learning to use the Focusrite audio interface and Reaper.

Dogfight — the crushing finale to Role of the Observer. Progressive heaviness in the vein of Tool, Mastodon, and Alice in Chains collides with soaring harmonized guitars and a bone-rattling breakdown. Lyrically, it’s an aerial battle turned metaphor for modern conflict, stubborn opposition, and the illusion of choice. Every riff drives the tension higher until the spectacular ending leaves you in the wreckage.

Role of the Observer is an American progressive rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The band’s line-up includes Nick Leach (lead guitar, vocals, piano), Tyler Rhodes (guitar, vocals), Max Leach (drums, percussion) and Nate Epperson (bass guitar, samples.) 
Founded in 2012, the group has been known to take a conceptual approach to their writing. With influences ranging from classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, King Crimson to newer progressive bands like Porcupine Tree, Tool, Mastodon, and Opeth, their sound is nothing out of the ordinary. Their exceptional musicianship brings the listener across all ranges of rhythms and their shows are an audible special that is sure to keep the listener on their feet.
Role of the Observer has released two full length concept albums which are now available on iTunes and for free download at http://roleoftheobserver.bandcamp.com/ . In early 2014 Max Leach joined the group on drums. Since, the groups sound has developed in exciting ways and they plan to release a third album in 2015. 

I was a bass player 15 years ago, I played blues, funk, reggae, yacht rock (AOR), rap-metal and jazz. 
For a while I played jazz with Harry Tavitian, but after I started my PhD studies I gave up music. 
A year ago some friends convinced me to take up bass again and here I am.

I have been playing guitar for 20+ years and I love making music. Metal is my first love, and that’s very plain to see if you listen to my music. After years of doing the band thing, I am now a self-produced solo instrumental artist. I hope you enjoy these instrumental offerings, I had a lot of fun writing them!

As a singer/songwriter, I channel a wide spectrum of rock and metal influences to create music that’s both emotionally evocative and technically precise. My sound is shaped by the legendary stylings of Kiss, the progressive intricacy of Queensryche and Dream Theater, the melodic hooks of Foreigner and Def Leppard, the theatrical edge of Styx, and the raw power of Metallica and Avenged Sevenfold.

Driven by a passion for storytelling through music, my lyrics dive deep into personal and universal themes, aiming to resonate with listeners on a visceral level. Whether it’s a soaring chorus or a tightly wound riff, every element of my music is crafted to deliver energy, emotion, and impact. It's rock with heart, precision, and a heavy dose of adrenaline.
