Op woensdag 8 oktober 2025 organiseert Letterveld een vierde Literaire Carrousel, in samenwerking met kunstencentrum Het Bos en community radio We Are Various. Dit keer staat de avond in het teken van Angst.

Angst kent vele verschijningsvormen, van diepgeworteld overlevingsinstinct tot ijle, collectieve waanzin. Angst nestelt zich in onze gedachten, in ons hele lijf. En angst laat sporen na. Soms krassen kleine angsten diepe groeven, soms verlamt grote angst ons hele bestaan. Samen verkennen we angsten.

Een Literaire Carrousel is een literaire avond vol woord, verbeelding en onverwachte ontmoetingen. Korte, krachtige bijdragen wisselen af met literaire-muzikale interventies. Tussen de blokken door is er ruimte om te luisteren, te praten of gewoon even te blijven hangen. Een open plek waar tekst leeft, beweegt en nieuwe resonanties vindt.

Voor deze gelegenheid werkt PEN Vlaanderen mee: zij nodigen de Oekraïense schrijver Sergej Sjamanov uit en houden ook een lege stoel voor de Palestijnse dichter Refaat Alareer – een symbolische aanwezigheid die herinnert aan stemmen die tot zwijgen zijn gebracht maar blijven weerklinken.

Esta é uma reprise de uma jornada interior poética e espiritual, onde a alma é observada através das “mil janelas”, metáfora para as múltiplas percepções do eu. Cada verso representa um reflexo, um fragmento de consciência em diálogo com o infinito. Entre introspeção e transcendência: o “eu” que escreve é também o “eu” que se lê, dissolvendo a fronteira entre criador e criação. Uma fusão entre matéria e espírito, luz e sombra, corpo e pensamento.

A voz desperta dentro do som, e este é um mergulho em um oceano invisível, onde o corpo e a alma deixam de ser opostos e se tornam o mesmo pulsar. Cada batida, cada respiração, é um eco daquilo que vibra além do mundo físico, uma lembrança de quando o silêncio fala. No início, o caminho entre sombras e vento, guiado apenas pelo som distante do coração. 

A escuridão não é medo, é um véu, o limite entre o conhecido e o místico. A cada verso, o fogo interno reacende, o corpo dissolve-se no ritmo, e a consciência expande até tocar o infinito. A canção é uma dança entre desejo e transcendência. Os cânticos, os tambores tribais e as vozes corais são reflexos do interior em expansão. Cada camada sonora representa um estado da alma, até restar apenas a essência: luz e som. 

No fim, quando o eco desaparece e a última nota se dissolve no silêncio, não há mais “eu” nem “outro”. Há apenas unidade, corpo, alma e luz entrelaçados. We are sound… we are one.

A poesia, para mim, nunca foram apenas palavras organizadas, ela sempre existiu como uma presença viva, feminina, antiga, insistente. Quando escrevo sobre ela, não estou a inventar uma personagem, estou a reconhecer uma entidade que me antecede e me transcende. Sinto-a como uma figura arquetípica, uma espécie de musa primordial, mas também algo maior, quase uma divindade íntima, aquela que se deita entre o que vejo e o que sonho. Ela domina, seduz, guia. Às vezes sou eu que a invoco, outras vezes é ela que me reclama. Percebo que ela habita o espaço onde a razão e a loucura se encostam. A criação sempre brotou desse limiar, dessa zona onde tudo pode nascer ou se desfazer. Quando digo que ela se move por abismos, estou a falar desse território interior onde o inconsciente abre suas portas. Ali, imagens se formam sozinhas, vozes esquecidas se revelam, e eu me torno apenas testemunha daquilo que passa. A poesia é a guardiã desse portal, a mensageira que vai e volta, trazendo fragmentos de mundos que não vejo com os olhos.

As imagens de sopro, fogo, vento e luz não são metáforas escolhidas ao acaso. Para mim, elas representam o modo como a poesia age, como sopro que desperta, como fogo que transforma, como luz que rasga a escuridão, como vento que não se deixa prender. Sinto que ela é uma forma de Logos**, uma força que não apenas revela o sentido das coisas, mas cria esse sentido. Quando escrevo o poema nasce não como gesto, mas como inevitabilidade. Há também a tensão entre silêncio e palavra. Isso, para mim, é a prova de que ela pertence ao mesmo movimento do universo, tão impossível de conter quanto o próprio cosmos. A poesia sempre encontra um caminho. Ela é a rebeldia da existência contra qualquer tentativa de apagamento. E no fundo existe um temor, não o medo de não escrever, mas o de não existir plenamente. Vivo como quem teme ser apagado, disperso. A palavra é o que me ancora no mundo, o que me faz perceber que há um centro, mesmo quando tudo parece se desfazer. A poesia é o gesto que impede o vazio de me engolir. Ela é a chama que me nomeia, que me sustém, que me salva. Por isso o poema começa e termina do mesmo modo.

A poesia não segue uma linha reta, ou caminhos tortos, ela gira e retorna. Essa circularidade não é repetição, é rito. É assim que ela se manifesta, como algo eterno, que pulsa, desaparece, reaparece e nunca se deixa capturar totalmente. Ao final, a sensação é sempre a mesma, a poesia não é algo que eu produzo. É algo que eu escuto. Algo que vive em mim. Algo que me escreve. 

Adaptado do meu próprio poema (escrito em 2005)   agora se transformou em uma música adorável. Também usado meu antigo trabalho em CGI "Qubit and the Cognitive Distortion"

I compose music in many genres: Children's, Jazz, Melodic, Ethnic, Space, Halloween, Classical, Southern/Western, Rock. My music encompasses a lot of variety, it is eclectic. All my pieces have been notated, contact me and send me your email address if you want free PDF's of particular compositions. I currently use Sibelius 7.1.3 and Noteperformer. I have been writing music since I was in Junior High School, I have some songs with lyrics, but most are instrumentals. I was in band in High School and College, and I have been a member in several choirs as well.  

Update: I have recently uploaded virtually all of the compositions I have composed since 1997. I have included playlists as part of my offerings, with compositions from many novel genres.

I am open to collaborations with members of Soundcloud.

I have many pieces that are crafted primarily using the Aeolian scale. Some examples include, "Exotic Emerald", "Starlight Vow", "Bard 2 with Violin", "An Evening in Chatham Bay" and "Sacred Turkish Fountain".

SINCERE IMPOSTER is an intimate collection of artists exploring a curious mixture of New Wave, Dance, EDM, Folk Rock, Metal, Art Pop, Electro, Dreamwave, and Experimental World Pop. Collectively, this is known as QUIRKPOP — music that pushes the creative limits of traditional pop.

Expect an unpredictable journey through sound, emotion, and humor, where genres collide and pop bends in strange new ways. Each song is conceived, composed, and performed with total sincerity, whether it’s built from voices, instruments, software, or hybrid experimentation. The focus is on the music itself: if it resonates, it resonates. No explanation required.

SINCERE IMPOSTER is curated by two musicians, both living within the same body, sharing a singular existence. They identify as Danielle & Dave. They are both psychologically and musically confused, yet extremely and unapologetically sincere.

Influences range from Weird Al and Nathan Fielder to David Lynch, Rosalia, Monatik, Atarashii Gakko!, Rammstein, T-Pain, and T-Swift. 

Danielle & Dave’s favorite inventions include the vacuum and the peach pitter. Their father is simply known as Vessel… who may be an entity or a god.
