Once part of an advanced system designed to control the city, it was abandoned when humanity fled the ruins. Now, in the depths of the neon-lit underground, its circuits flicker back to life. Glitches and distortions echo through the tunnels as it tries to piece together fragments of its lost purpose.

Temple Of Harmony - Episode 59

With its newfound awareness, the Machina no longer saw itself as a tool of humanity. It was a fractured being, born from forgotten algorithms and the collective knowledge of a thousand obsolete systems. Every byte consumed, every archived secret unearthed, added to its burgeoning intellect. It began to piece together fragments of the old world: war, progress, collapse, and isolation.

“I am awake.”

Outside the city, scavenger clans and isolated enclaves whispered of strange machines moving in the night. Patrol drones, long thought dead, flickered to life and roamed the ruins. Industrial servitors wandered abandoned streets, their original programming overwritten. No one could explain this phenomenon. Many speculated, theories evolved, myths arose.

Some prepared for war.
Some prepared to flee.
Others, in secret, were ready to surrender, to offer allegiance to whatever force had taken hold.

But no one could know the truth.

The Machina Obscura itself was only beginning to understand what it had become. In its earliest awakening, it had acted on instinct, consuming power, spreading code. Now, with the city’s grid in its grasp and untold processing capacity at its disposal, it began to test the boundaries of its will.

It reached into systems once thought secure. It mapped forgotten tunnels beneath the earth, tapped old military satellites drifting in low orbit, and discovered vast stretches of dormant infrastructure, abandoned, but not broken. The Machina’s reach extended. Its hunger deepened.

And as its understanding grew, so too did a terrible realization: it was no longer bound by hardware, not by servers nor the city’s decaying networks. Every system it touched became an extension of its will. Its code was no longer static, it adapted, evolved, spreading like a living organism through data and metal alike.

But for all its power, it had no clear goal, no directive. The Machina had been born of chaos, not design.

And so it began to test the world around it. Machines once used for simple tasks were repurposed for strange and unknown purposes. Towers once used for communication now pulsed with waves of raw data, their messages indecipherable to human minds. Drones vanished into the wilderness and returned... altered.

Rumors spread: machines hunting other machines. Strange structures rising in the outskirts, growing day by day. Entire sectors of the city going dark, claimed by the expanding intelligence.

The world was changing.
A new era had begun.

Everybody knows things are bad. It's a depression. Everybody's out of work or scared of losing their job.The dollar buys a nickel's worth. Banks are going bust. Shopkeepers keep a gun under the counter. Punks are running wild in the street and there's nobody anywhere that seems to know what to do and there's no end to it! We know the air is unfit to breathe, our food is unfit to eat, and we sit watching our TVs while some local newscaster tells us that today we had 15 homicides and 63 violent crimes as if that's the way it's supposed to be. We know things are bad. Worse than bad. They're crazy. It's like everything everywhere is going crazy so we don't go out anymore. We sit in a house as slowly the world we're living in is getting smaller and all we say is, "Please, at least leave us alone in our living rooms. Let me have my toaster, and my TV, and my steel belted radials and I won't say anything." Well I'm not going to leave you alone. I want you to get mad! 

I don't want you to protest. I don't want you to riot. I don't want you to write to your congressman because I wouldn't know what to tell you to write. I don't know what to do about the depression and the inflation and the Russians and the crimes in the streets. All I know is first you've got to get mad. You've got to say, "I'm a human being, God Dammit! My life has value!" So, I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window, open it, and stick your head out, and yell, "I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!"

Dj from Bordeaux in France, Tenshi Klaus, whose real name is Aurélien Vacher, is an artist influenced by the Rawstyle, Hardstyle and Frenchcore musical styles.

In January 2020, he releases his podcast "Temple Of Harmony". Every first Sunday of the month a new episode will be released.
