Hay cancioneros que te sumen en auténticos estados de conciencia que nos llevan a un nuevo espacio sensorial. Eso es lo que pasa con esta ciudad real pero imaginaria que proyecta Syd dePalma en el que es su nuevo ejercicio discográfico, "paris", que no es la capital francesa, sino un sitio en el que los vaivenes emocionales, las inseguridades, los descensos y las desventuras se encuentran ante su propio espejo para reconstruirse.

En los nueve cortes que habitan este "paris", Syd dePalma mantiene un pulso constante sobre una idea de psicodelia a la vez humana y futurista, alimentada tanto por los cimientos más viscosos del rock alternativo y el dreampop más noisy como también por claras interferencias del flamenco (la más clara es la colaboración de Niño de Elche en "vuela, y sus pupilas se dilatan", pero también en cortes como "Ansiedad") y hasta atajos a una suerte de jazz-rock en clave Morphine.

No se pierde el punto de apoyo en las melodías redondas ni tampoco en el abrazo a toda una generación de space-rock y psicodelia alternativa, como cuando Florent, conocido guitarrista de Los Planetas, o cuando la que fuera la lideresa y vocalista de Heather, se suman a aportar su personalidad en otras canciones de este álbum.

Un manual completamente personal, en el que Syd dePalma se permite firmar absolutos hits del psych-rock en español como "Cola del vicio", "Príncipe" o "Entre cemento, Luz rota y", que deberían colarse entre las mejores canciones de este año; sino que también vuelve a demostrar por qué es uno de los artistas más inquietos, vanguardistas, arriesgados y en constante exploración del circuito alternativo estatal.
