Cats of St Peter’s is the debut EP from Adelaide’s own family-driven psychedelic rock band, The Coogees. Across four tracks, the band captures the spirit of classic rock while weaving in modern energy and raw emotion. The record moves from soaring guitar riffs and swirling keys to grounded grooves and hypnotic rhythms, reflecting the band’s unique chemistry and shared roots.

Named after their beginnings in the St Peter’s area, the EP feels both nostalgic and fresh—like a late-night jam that grew into something bigger than the room it started in. Cats of St Peter’s is a journey through shimmering soundscapes, heartfelt lyricism, and a love for the golden era of rock with a contemporary edge.

Whether it’s the trippy haze of “Psilocybin”, the storytelling punch of “16 Cassettes”, or the driving energy of the closing tracks, this EP introduces The Coogees as a band that can make you move, think, and drift away all at once.
