I Factory (The MODern Blues Project), nella loro formazione Mark II, incarnano l’essenza del garage rock e del mod revival anni ’60, con una spinta visionaria tutta contemporanea. Attiva tra il 2021 e il 2023, questa incarnazione della band – guidata dalla voce graffiante e teatrale di Giuliano Dettori, dal groove inarrestabile di Chris Pain al basso e dal drumming pulsante di Luca Monaco – ha attraversato due anni incandescenti di live, sessioni in studio e playlist in continua evoluzione.
In “Lazy Sunday”, registrata il 4 novembre 2022, si respira tutto il calore di una jam d’altri tempi: Silvio Vinci disegna paesaggi onirici all’Hammond e al piano, mentre la chitarra di Davide Spanu fluttua tra riff sporchi e assoli dilatati, tipici di una psichedelia dirompente e mai prevedibile.
I Factory Mark II brillano per la loro capacità di improvvisazione, fondendo groove mod, schegge blues e aperture ipnotiche, in un equilibrio perfetto tra istinto e visione. Una domenica pigra, forse, ma tutt’altro che sonnolenta.
