Tunnel Vision is a psychedelic number that progressives from a funkier tech house vibe into a darker, deeper techno rager, then back again.  A pumping low-end and offset, call-and-response hand drums do the driving, while some glistening bells and trippy builds provide the landscape.

This is one of my cleaner tracks to date and definitely among the most reminiscent (along with "Mothership Misconnection") of my actual DJ style.  It's still a little too tracky/loopy at times, but I think it works pretty well overall.  As always, I appreciate comments and feedback!

An artist with a rich back catalogue to his name over a 15-year period, Luke Mandala is a
welcome Proton Music debutant with his twin-track, “The Wind People”. Combining live wind
instruments and percussion in his production portfolio, Luke Mandala has been a powerhouse
creative force with music on Desert Hearts Records, Digital Structures and Dave Seaman’s
Selador. Opener “Eagle Song” is a pulsating progressive treasure that
glitters with a beautiful melodic flow. Hitting its dancefloor straps with a strong bassline groove,
the juxtaposition of ethereal synth phrasing and fizzing hi-hats creates a dynamic piece that
reaches a scintillating zenith in the third movement. A slightly darker offering, driven by strong
kick and intricate rolling groove, “Gorgeous Darkness” retains the soft melodic motifs of its
counterpart, particularly at the beatless breakdown. Either side, a dynamic bassline sequence
creates a vibrant energy that comes to the fore with a growling, filtered variation in the second
half that sits perfectly with the arpeggiated melody woven into the delicate sonic mosaic.

Dance music royalty and a true pioneer of the underground house scene, Nick Muir has become
a firm favourite with the Proton faithful since first remixing Rick Pier O’Neil in late 2019. Since
then, the Bedrock co-founder has lit up the label with further reworkings of Eric Lune and
Sebastian Sellares. Moreover, his “All One Word” EP in mind-2023 showcased an original track
of 24-carat gold that saw standout remixes from GMJ & Matter and Trilucid. Returning for a
fourth remix, the Nick Muir interpretation of “Eagle Song” is a potent demonstration of the iconic
star’s long association with dance music. A classic old-school house vibe is married with cutting-
edge production techniques as familiar refrains shimmer across the piece, not least in the arpeggiated motif integral to the original. Intelligently integrating a timeless house piano phrase
at the mid-point, it develops with typical brio into the second half with a cascading brilliance and
powerful vibrancy.

The final remix sees newcomer, dernis, the kid makes his Proton Music debut. An artist with the
production credentials to rival any modern producer, the US star has been a mainstay in Claude
VonStroke’s DIRTYBIRD studio as well being part of the San Diego-based event group
responsible for an annual desert party of epic proportions. Also releasing through his own AZB
Studios imprint, the dernis, the kid reworking is built around a huge sub-bass groove and ticking
percussive top-line. Cleverly reimagining the melodic elements from “Gorgeous Darkness”,
immaculate production skills are in full evidence as wonderful layers of original sound are
introduced. Culminating in a beautifully crafted and free-flowing piano refrain, it gently
permeates the rasping, gritty bassline groove to create a dance-friendly framework. The result is
an outstanding debut from a US producer at the top of his game.

Blowing up a storm, Luke Mandala has built a strong community with “The Wind People” that
includes contributions from Nick Muir and dernis, the kid.

I produce electronic music like psychedelic trance/goa, electro, house, ambient and downbeat. I am experienced in roots- and dub-reggae-rhythms, funk and soul-grooves, and also the music of the prog-rock-bands of the late sixties and early seventies. I love jazz and experimental, crazy sounds. music has to come from the heart, then it is good music for me.
Since 1990 I am active in music with several projects, loads of gigs around the world, on tour as studio- and tourdrummer all over the world with gigs in Mexico City, Moscow, Greece, UK, Spain, France, Belgium, Holland, Swiss, Albania and many more. I produce tracks for my own project SteveDragon and I am a member of the band In Strict Confidence. I am also the drummer of the electro-project KitschConSoul and I play live/tour-drums for several other bands like Conjure One.

I made a lot of remixes for several bands and projects, just to name a few: SONO, ASP, The Crüxshadows, In Strict Confidence, Samsas Traum, Die Krupps, Láme Immortelle, Lava 303 and more.

I work with synthesizers and computers since 1988, at that time I had an ATARI ST Computer with Steinberg..s Twentyfour and made first experiments with arranging and sound-programming. This hasn..t stopped till now and I am learning and making experience in sound.

The Floating Point is a music and party addicted DJ based in Zurich.

Everything down to the smallest particles is constantly reacting with one another. Everything we know and we do in the universe is the result of countless complex reactions happening as much in the quantic level of reality or in our realm of reality. Theses cause and effect processus are the product of a dual conception of gravity that used to be incompatible but are now in the way of being unified into one big soup theory that we could call Quantaloop.

Quantaloop, the brainchild of Etienne Sarrazin and Pasquale De Luca, have
established themselves as trailblazers in the psychedelic community with their unique brand of twisted techno music. Drawing from their deep knowledge pool of electronic music knowledge their style aims to blend the best elements from many different genres while staying true to their psychedelic roots. Their sound is known for being unique and instantly recognizable in any set due to its technicality married with a constantly evolving but very much dance floor groove.

This unique blending of genres and ability to tell a story through music has
allowed them to release on some of the most prestigious labels and play on
some of the biggest festival stages around the world. They have released on the biggest labels in the psytech genre such as Zenon Records, Alpaka Muzik, Techgnosis Records, and Soupherb Records just to name a few, and 2023 saw them play in almost every major techno city across the globe.

Their journey started in 2016 when they both finished their studies in classical electronic music production and teamed up to make music that they both wanted to hear on dancefloors. As early as 2018 their first hits such as “Windmill Man” and “Expanding Elephants” started to get played by DJs around the world and this growth has not stopped since. Synchronometry is the progressive psytrance / psychedelic techno project of Southern California’s Bruce Dawson. Synchronometry’s existence in the SoCal underground has brought driving psychedelic music to countless dancefloors across Southern California, the US and internationally for many years. As a classically trained musician and pro audio software developer, Bruce has been deeply involved with creating psychedelic music and building the tools used to make it for many years. Luke’s dynamic live act includes playing a mixture of electronic and acoustic music while mixing in multiple live wind instruments and live drumming. His lifelong devotion to community dance medicine started at age 14 in 1998 when he started to DJ at northwest USA raveriffic events! Whether it was through his beginnings in small town Idaho or his decade-plus residencies with the Shameless (Seattle) and Monkey Do (Los Angeles) DJ crews, he has long been a centerpiece of the regional dance music underground. His mixture of heady yet crowd rocking house and techno cuts earn him regular headlining spots at clubs, renegade parties and festival across the Western US and beyond. But he is best known for his co-creation of the legendary Esthetic Evolution music and arts festival and his long career as a political and community organizer. These backgrounds bring a sense of collective empowerment, resistance and celebration into all of his DJ sets and events. His newest project, “For Love and Struggle,” uses music, community and social commentary to bridge these worlds, because there are 33 revolutions on the turntable and one in the streets.
