I chose the name of this mix because retro-futurism is something I've always been fascinated by, our past concept of what we envisioned the future to be like. Dear Friends, I'm totally psyched to be sharing this mix with you.  In the last year I've been (almost) all over the world performing, introducing people to this sound. The response has been overwhelming, and it seems like every new gig I travel to now has an even more electric atmosphere than the last. I've always been highly selective of the music I play, in an effort to define something new and distinct, and I feel now that this style is getting the recognition it deserves. 

So it's not often I do a mix, and this time I really wanted to showcase the state of the art of psychedelic tech-funk. Bad Tango - Making The Most of It [OUT NOW!]

My first remix for Neurodriver was an absolute joy to create! It came together in about 3 days, every idea just flowing forth without effort or hesitation. I am particularly happy with this track, and the dancefloor response has been overwhelming! I recently received feedback on it from none other than HYBRID who said it was "the most rocking track we've heard all year". Stoked! 

I hope you guys enjoy it, i'd love to hear your comments and views. It will be released on Broken Robot records mid-september.  

Neurodriver - Man Made (Hedflux Remix)

By now you will have heard me raving on about Grouch on facebook. For me, and many others, he is one of the true masters of psychedelic music, and a hugely inspiring character! I got to spend a couple of days with him when I was in Australia earlier this year, and we played around on our laptops, producing as many cool sounds as we could in the time we had. After this, we went home and each produced a track using those sounds as the basis. This is my version, and it will be coming out on Broken Robot in December 2012. Grouch's version will be coming out sometime in 2013, i'll keep you posted!

Hi all, been a while since my last release so it brings me great pleasure to be able to share with you this single track for my good friends at Wobbly Records. 

The Wobbly records guys have been unbelievably good to me over the years and i've played for them countless times. They even organised my album launch party! So when they asked if I had anything I could contribute to their next compilation it would have been rude to say no! Their remit for the compilation was 'techy' haha, so i tried my best to make this track in keeping with the techno and minimal vibes they were going for. Plus this track will be released on vinyl alongside some of the best producers out there, having an actual record printed is a first for me so that's very exciting.

Bad Tango is the electronic music project of UK based producer Will Railton.

Will was first established in the Psychedelic Breakbeat & Tech-Funk genres following his debut release in January 2011. After topping download charts with a string of successful releases on a variety of labels, he was quickly scooped up by forward thinking UK label Broken Robot, where he continued to help pioneer the Psy Breaks genre alongside the likes of Hedflux and ex-Far Too Loud member, Neurodriver.

In October 2018, following two International Breakbeat Award nominations, a long track record of global bookings and a multitude of auspicious EP’s, remixes and collaborations, Will released his first full length studio album ‘ILK’.
