Dido's Lament ("When I am laid in earth") is the closing aria from the opera Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell to a libretto by Nahum Tate. This is a modern interpretation of the original composition.

It is included in many classical music textbooks to illustrate the descending chromatic fourth (passus duriusculus) in the ground bass. This is played annually in London by the massed bands of the Guards Division at the Cenotaph remembrance parade in Whitehall on Remembrance Sunday, the Sunday nearest to November 11 (Armistice Day).

David Longoria is an artist, trumpet player, composer and record producer. He has worked with many of the top artists and producers of our generation. In the dance world he has produced hundreds of records for artists and labels all over the world. His newest Dance Single is Angles which combines his jazz and classically influenced trumpeting with trumpeting along with current progressive house production. The result is the groundbreaking melodic and rhythmic sound. This is the first single from the highly anticipated Instrumental Dance album The Journey which is scheduled to be released at the end of the year.
