Chronologiquement, il semble que la Bible ne rapporte les miracles de Jésus qu’à partir de son baptême dans le Jourdain. Le récit de cet événement mentionne également la venue du Saint-Esprit sur Jésus, sous la forme d’une colombe. Jésus avait-il donc besoin d'un « baptême de l’Esprit » pour accomplir ces miracles ? N'est-ce pas là le paralogisme de la cigogne ?
