“Shadows in the twilight” is a gentle English-language lullaby that paints a calm evening scene: sheep-like clouds drift across the sky, dewdrops shine like pearls on sleeping flowers, and moths circle a warm light. A warm female vocal rests over soft acoustic guitar or piano with delicate pads and glockenspiel, moving at ~70 BPM to encourage slow breathing and relaxation. The lyrics reassure and renew—inviting little ones (and tired parents) to unwind, drift into peaceful dreams, and wake to a brighter morning. Ideal for bedtime playlists, nursery ambience, and quiet family evenings.

This track started as a small joke —
I sampled a Shachihata stamp and blended it with a shakuhachi,
turning an everyday office sound into something strangely atmospheric.

It’s playful and a little absurd,
yet the shakuhachi adds a quiet depth that felt worth keeping.
A light Japanese ambient piece born from an unexpected combination.

Morning doesn’t mean the same thing to everyone.
For some, it’s the beginning of hope.
For others, it’s the weight of returning to another day of work, commute, or routine.
Yet the world still moves quietly:
the light rises, the birds begin, the air shifts gently into a new day.

I wrote this piece wishing that the beginning of the day
could feel a little softer for anyone who listens.
Just a small, gentle start.

A short gloomy, waltz style piano piece. This piece was written in 9/8 in the key of D minor. I had written this piece to describe the feeling of growing distant to your once close family, the ache and feeling of loss that accompanies that.

A single chrysanthemum carries last year’s bloom,
the one before that, and the ones already fading into memory.
Phantom flowers rise from the distance and gently take the present away.
In that drifting moment, I feel myself being drawn
by a hand I cannot name — soft, pale, and inevitable.

Quiet is where I hear me

The Music of Sound...really!!  It's all grist for the mill.  I visualize Sound/Music as colors, shapes and forms rather than notes in a scale.  I look upon each of these pieces as individual environments and/or sculptures in which to spend some time, looking round, feeling the curves, hanging out, exploring... Each composition is based on different elements, structures and rules or lack thereof.  Consequently, each is unique unto itself.  

Blissfully free of genre, everything is fair game:  beats; melodies; disquiet; washes; pulses; broken clichés and memes; subliminals; words and voices; chaos; sonorities; field recordings; indeterminacy; world music; the holy; the gutter; otherworld music; drones; synths; samples, etc. etc.  etc.  

I enjoy entering into the mitochondria of what makes a sound  that particular sound and then genetically change it into something entirely different than what it was - with just the essence lingering.  I also like to explore the "in-betweens" - spaces between beats, frequencies, timbres, spaces, tones, etc. In large part, simply, I'm curious to explore it all.  Suffice it to say, the wider your aperture the more you will hear and experience.  Et voila!

Oh!  Headphones will likely provide a more fulsome listening experience for many of the pieces.
