“SUGARCOAT” tells the story of recognizing when someone or something only looks good on the surface. It’s about seeing through the polished words, fake smiles, and flattering appearances that people often use to hide the truth. The song follows the perspective of someone who’s been misjudged or underestimated, learning to reject the expectations placed on them and embrace their authentic self. Inspired by real moments of realizing that not everything that seems sweet is actually good for you, it’s a confident and emotional anthem about self-awareness, empowerment, and choosing honesty over perfection.

"The Night" is a deep house track that borrows elements from classic UK House and Nu Disco, as well as borrowing some faint elements of tech house, funk, R&B and soul. Easy going, danceable, warm, and overall a "feel good" vibe. After the complexity of "My Intentions," it felt fitting to create a "chill-down" track after. If you are a member of splice, I strongly recommend checking out toolroom's beat packages; they are phenomenal, especially for those who enjoy disciplined tech-house beats
