My set from the 8mile Yacht Club at Rabbits Eat Lettuce 2024. REL was one of the very first doofs I ever went to roughly 10 years ago and it holds a special place in my heart. So many new music discoveries, inspiration for my music and amazing connections with some of the best people I know have all come from this event over the years- so I was incredibly honoured and so excited to be contributing back into the festival thats given me so much. Thank you everyone that came down on a particularly sweaty Sunday morning for a good stomp- with a special shout out to those dudes who were throwing down extra hard at the front (if you're reading this you know who you are)- the energy you all brought really made the set so much fun for me.

Emmotica is an Australian mutli-genre music producer, DJ and fire performer known for pulling crowds with her primal, high-energy bass, tribal chants and driving rhythms. Emmotica doesn’t just stay behind the decks - she’ s a flow-state huntress; often dancing with the crowd and spinning fire between mixing tracks. Her sets weave through rhythmic deep house, bass house, tech house, drum and bass and everything in between. What started out as a passion project annoying his neighbours has now turned into something much louder and annoying neighbours much further away. He is a lover of funk and any bass that makes you pull that face... yeah you know the one. Best consumed loud and outdoors.

Otorongo is the Quechua word for Jaguar, Curinahuel is the same in Mapudungu.

Otorongo is a music selector originally from Chile, currently based in Meanjin (Brisbane). His sets are meticulously curated to take audiences on a journey. Some times it might be a pleasant walk through mountain rainforest, tropical floodplains, or wherever your imagination feels the most comfortable. Other times a deep dive into the realm of the spirits, where light and darkness get confounded. 

Otorongo's sets are percussive, with exotic instruments and vocals, usually filled with nature samples, and always driven by ancient rhythms, carefully blended to ensure you feel free to dance. 

Expect from ethnic downtempo and folktronica to eclectic Afrofuturism, passing through deep tech.

He is co-founder and curator of ISU TAKI (@isu-taki), a collective that organises parties to promote emerging beats from Abya Yala (aka Latin America) and beyond.
