Voici la première pièce "Introduction" de mon recueil pour piano Grand Bal, ici dans la transcription sur laquelle j'ai travaillé, pour orchestre !

Sur le même procédé que ma composition Folklore des landes, le recueil est composé sur la même histoire qu'un roman éponyme que j'écris en parallèle (le roman Grand bal sera pour 2025).

L'histoire : Le plus grand bal de la région est chamboulé quand un mystérieux personnage inconnu pénètre l’enceinte du palais à la veille de l'arrivée des invités. Sa présence amène la famille à faire des choix au milieu d'éléments de plus en plus perturbants pour la famille, le bal et bientôt pour tout le pays.

Dans cette introduction, sorte de bande-annonce du recueil, toutes ces mélodies sont abordées et survolées, comme une vision d'ensemble de toute l'histoire qui se déroulera.
Cette pièce comprend donc beaucoup des mélodies et thèmes des autres morceaux du recueil, les superposant méticuleusement.

Rachmaninoff Prelude No5 in G minor op 23 _ Bozhidar Gandurov _ Bulgaria

This piano track was originally recorded on October 12, 2013 using Ableton Live 6 and the GALAXY VINTAGE D piano library.
The piece is the 2nd movement of Rachmaninoff's Piano Sonata No. 2, recreated as a DTM (desktop music) arrangement.

In May 2025, I revisited and updated the mix and sound design to improve both the spatial feel and pedal behavior.  
The GALAXY VINTAGE D library (final version from around April 2020) was again used, but this time with refined settings in Kontakt and additional EQ adjustments in Ableton Live.

Particular attention was paid to:
– Fixing an issue where certain low-end notes would ring unexpectedly when specific pedal values were used (possibly a bug or quirk of the library).  
– Rebalancing the stereo field and midrange thickness, which were overly emphasized by default effects.  
– Carefully tuning pedal resonance, string and damper noises, and room placement to create a more intimate and natural acoustic impression.

This version aims to deliver a more expressive and believable virtual performance, while staying true to the spirit of Rachmaninoff's lyrical writing.

The mission of the Grand Teton Music Festival (GTMF) is to engage, entertain, educate, and inspire our resident and seasonal communities through exhilarating musical experiences. GTMF fulfills its mission through 150 concerts, education activities and community events each year.

Hi, I started out singing in the 60's. I played in several groups, made a few records. Never went fully pro just played youth clubs, pubs, and socials.
